and ask them why they made a smashed minivan? If not, then why do people look at the corrupt world and ask God why He made a corrupt world? Ford didn't make a smashed minivan, and God didn't make a corrupt world. Man screwed up the van, man screwed up the world.

I've heard that there are more women graduating from college than men nowadays. This confirms what I've always known to be true: that gender equality is impossible, because interpersonal dynamics require one gender or the other to be dominant.

I feel that there are 2 reasons for the change in college graduation:

1. There are tons of self-help groups and scholarships for women, but not for men.
2. The anti-male attitudes and norms in many colleges and universities.

Challenging these anti-male attitudes is clearly important, but I have another idea. How about creating scholarships and financial assistance programs specifically for men?

Am I the only person in the universe who'd like to b*tch slap these people? I mean, every day I'm confronted with these images of those poor, underprivalged kids in foreign countries, and all I can think of is how much I want to slap the deacon showing me.

I mean, it is sad, and there is something to be done, but all I can think of is the little girl down the street from me who has nothing but a dead-drunk mother and an empty stomach, a little girl *I* take care of most of the time, and then they want me to adopt nineteen little famine children as well.

The local church generates enough money to support these kids a few times over, and they send missionaries over to experience the 'horror' firsthand, and they accept donations, but only about a fifth of the money actually makes it over...does this make any sense?

I tell the churches to stop buying all those huge crucifuxes and start feeding those kids, implement sex ed. classes...

Nothing.

Anyone else feel this way?

The tax supported religion of humanism?

Do you: believe in evolution, deny the Lord your God, believe man is supreme, that government is the best for the welfare of all, etc?

can you give me some scriptures (7 year tribulation,etc.)...if not, then, I have a feeling that the rapture is one big lie...especially w/ the popularity of the "Left Behind" books. I think that too many Christians are buying into it and expecting it to occur> what do you think>

Before I say anything else, I do know that the Bible says no man knows the day or the hour, not even the son, only the father....

*BUT* If you saw signs of His return like in prophesies and the antichrist and the seven year treaty and stuff like that occurring, would you expect him any minute? Doesn't the Bible also say, "They will say, "Where is this 'coming' he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation." So, does someone have to be legitimately disappointed that he did not meet their expectation.....?

(Kinda makes you wonder if Answers is the fulfillment of this prophesy, doesn't it.....?)

The bible does not tell us we need to worry about self esteem... We are not to focus on ourselves and our feelings, but on how to serve the Lord. Satan focuses on making man a god, making man focus more on himself.. Why does the average Christian subscribe to the self esteem bologna?

Historically, a hermaphrodite was viewed by the church as the pinnacle of creation, the closest to perfection attainable in the human form.
Because men are not complete. Adam had parts removed to make Eve.
A hermaphrodite is neither gender - therefor closer to Adam, the original human, and closest to what we are supposed to be.

How this goes in the modern church, I do not know, but as it was, to marry a hermaphrodite was a blessing, and to have one in your church was likewise blessed.

I see alot of people talking about the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints(mormons) here. Most of the the stuff is brought up by Non-mormon people. But the truth is that you really dont know what they are talking about. My question than is: what is a mormon? How much do you really think you know about them? A lot of concepts that people believe of the mormons are wrong. For example Poligamy: Yes we did practice it for a short time. We did abandon it though. We no longer practice it. There are those that still do practice it and they call themselves Mormons. But, they are not mormons. It is now against our religion to have more than one wife.

Please I would like to hear peoples answers. I would like see what you really do know about our church.

God instituted marriage with Adam and Eve. They didn't go up to the courthouse and get married...they got married in the eyes of God. God in His word tells us it is better to marry than to burn (in our lust) (see Paul for details). Why do many Christians believe cohabitation is better than marriage, when God is clearly against fornication, adultery, etc. and gave us the institution of marriage for a reason.

for sending children to public school to learn humanism religion in the ways of evolution, psychology, self first, self esteem, violence, etc. We are not allowed to express our religious beliefs in school regardless of grade or age, why allow humanism to take over and push out the Lord?
