There will, most certainly, be global peace. The first peace will come when the Anti-Christ is pulling the wool over the eyes of the non-believers in Christ. That will last for 3 and one-half years. The final peace will last in the 1,000 year reign of Jesus Christ.

The anti-Christ will make a seven year peace treaty with Israel.

And he shall enter into a strong and firm covenant with the many for one week [seven years]. And in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and offering to cease [for the remaining three and one-half years]; and upon the wing or pinnacle of abominations [shall come] one who makes desolate, until the full determined end is poured out on the desolator. Dan 9:27
The desolator is the anti-Christ.

I have come in My Father's name and with His power, and you do not receive Me [your hearts are not open to Me, you give Me no welcome]; but if another comes in his own name and his own power and with no other authority but himself, you will receive him and give him your approval. John 5:43

Israel will accept the anti-Christ as her long awaited Messiah. The Jeiwish temple will be rebuilt any time now, either before or shortly after the signing of the seven year peace treaty, which begins the Tribulation.

So when you see the appalling sacrilege [the abomination that astonishes and makes desolate], spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the Holy Place--let the reader take notice and ponder and consider and heed [this]-- Matt 24:15

In the middle of the seven years of the tribulation, many events will take place. The anti-Christ will break his "seven year peace treaty", after three and one-half [3 1/2 years].

He will invade Jerusalem as well as defiling their temple, revealing to the Jewish people that this is not their Messiah. After defiling this "Holy" place, the anti-Christ well as setting himself up to be worshipped. The temple in Jerusalem will become his head quarters, during these last three and one-half years [3 1/2 yrs] of the tribulation.

Verse 1
A REED [as a measuring rod] was then given to me, [shaped] like a staff, and I was told: Rise up and measure the sanctuary of God and the altar [of incense], and [number] those who worship there. This reed is used as a way of measuring. Worshippers must first measure up to the commands of God. To stand in the place of worship without the blood of Jesus is a mockery. We must live for Jesus Christ in spirit and truth.

Verse 2
But leave out of your measuring the court outside the sanctuary of God; omit that, for it is given over to the Gentiles [the nations], and they will trample holy city underfoot for 42 months [three and on-half years].

Your holy people possessed Your sanctuary but a little while; our adversaries have trodden it down. Isa 63:18

I don't think we are doomed by scripture but it is in human nature to be competitive and in some to start trouble so it is not likely that we will have world peace but it could happen.

Will there EVER be international peace? NO! there'll under no circumstances be international peace. Is humanity doomed to stab itself in the lower back thoughout historic past for earnings? sure! next. Do you ever foresee people overcoming their animalistic fears to concur conflict, poverty, affliction, and famine? i do not ever see an afternoon at the same time as Human nature will merely merely disappear. next.

seriously, do you think(when you look at the world today) there will ever be peace short of the return of God.??? its not going to happen by a few people doing some meeting at some summit or convention.Christ will return and set it straight,, when you think about it, there's not going to be any other way.

yes, and then, no,then, no,
people try because they are unaware that peoples solutions will inevitably fail.
The only solution for mans problems is the Kingdom of God.
It is a real ruler ship that, when it's authority is finally turned toward the earth, will rule mankind free from corruption.

You aren't doomed by scripture - you are doomed by what you believe and how you live life.

Scripture didn't doom us, we did that ourselves. It just warned us that we would ...and told us how to avoit it. Unfortunately we didn't heed the warnings.
