If you follow the theory of evolution, where did everything come from? You can't have something come from nothing - that is simple physics, so what was before the big bang?

If everything was wiped out except for what was on the Ark, and that was Noah, his wife, their three sons, and their wives (for a total of 8 human beings), then regardless of whether or not there were other people around for Adam and Eve, doesn't it still mean that the earth was re-populated by incest?

So, I've been really puzzled lately on the topic of religion. I have many christian friends. atheist friends. jewish friends etc. i have heard each of their thoughts and views. i was brought up in the christian church and attended christian school for the beginning of my life. but i am confused on what religion is correct. if i was brought up believing in a religion other than christianity i would think that christianity was incorrect. i asked a preist, "what about people who have never heard of jesus christ, theyre going to hell because they havent accepted him?" and he answered thats why we have missionarys to teach others about him. I think hell was made up to scare people into believing in something. i think there is only one god. who's to say christians are correct? any thoughts?

I don't get this. How does some people killing the Son of God make that be able to happen? Shouldn't we have been punished, not saved?

He should have been the biggest fundamentalist in the world, but even he saw the evidence presented as supporting only evolution as the most viable theory.

OK if you christians and similar actually knew your religion you know that you are ignoring Jesus and Gods' word. You are supposed donate all of your money to the poor, you are supposed to condem homosexuals, adulterers, even kids who disobey their parents to death. Jesus was pro-slavery, anti-woman. But today not only is "God's" word ignored, it's completely turned around and the opposite is being done; nobody is actually doing God's word today! So does that mean if it were all real, that everybody would go to hell. (Now muslims god the right idea, they actually do practive their teachings.)

Arguments i've heard:
1-It should be the womans choice and no one elses
2-If abortions are illegal, women will run the risk of dying by havind someone who is not professionally trained do it
3-It is an expression of freedom of choice
4-If i don't want the baby, i shouldn't have to carry it for 9 months
5-The fetus doesn't feel pain nor does he have the mental capability to make a choice
6-The fetus would not survive with out the mothers aid

These are all arguments i've seen from pro choicers of why abortions are great. To me it seems that pro choicers are only concerned with the welfare of the woman or themselves and not of the child, self preservation in it's rawest form. If it causes health issues then that's a different argument, but if it's a normal pregnancy, then there is no justifiable reason to kill the baby, the only reason i see from pro choicers is self preservation.

Suppose there is a God. He used science to create things correct, so what we see in the science section would be this kind of debate, how did he do it.

Just a few thoughts asking for discussion.

If I read the New York Times, does this mean I am a New Yorker or am planning to move to New York?

I ask this because someone has said that because I am reading the Bible, it means I am trying to decipher God's word, and this means I am a Christian. Does anyone agree with this?
