Everyone thinks their god is the only true one. Allah, Brahman, Vishnu, Atman, YHWH, Krishna, etc. How do you say, "THIS god is the good one!"

The bible says its murder … There is no question of that. So if you believe the Bible you must agree that abortion is murder. I want real answers here. Please don’t give me the tired old crap about it not being the governments place to decide unless you feel the government shouldn’t have laws against other forms of murder either. I also don’t want Christian bashing Democrats to respond with your typical bigoted anti-Christian crap either. I’m looking for people who feel they are Christians who support abortion laws in this country to answer this question. I want to hear how they justify in their own souls being at least complicit if not ultimately responsible for 50 Million abortions (or murders according to the bible) in this country since Row V Wade. I just don’t understand it.

someone asked:: I have read that Islam believes that the God of the Jews and Christians is the same God of the Muslims, is that a correct statement? And that Muhammad was the last and final Prophet of God correcting misleading concepts in the above religions. So then all three religions are from the same origin?

All three dispensations are indeed from the same Divine origin and we believe that Religion is one just as God is One, the same One that sent all the Prophets and Whose basic message does not change.

Person one is a person who allows the horror in Congo to continue by doing nothing. He knows that in Congo daily more than a 1000 children die of hunger and war, but he still sits in his chair and watches sport. He prays for his wife and kids to have a nice life, he hates taxes and charity. He loves church, and he accepted Jesus as his saviour.

Person 2 is a person that used the Lord's name in vain. He says things like "Goddammit, i'm gonna help those kids in Congo now" . And he acts upon his words. He is angry at God and Jesus for allowing the horror in Congo to happen, and he refuses to be saved by them.

Who will end up in Hell?
In my book it's person 1, i'm not sure what your book is saying.

Jesus was controversial. The prophets were controversial. I was told by a good friend that it is better to live in peace and not be controversial. I think there is a peace that is not peace. It is an agreement to "go along" even when you seriously don't agree for the sake of being a "part of the group." What do you think? When is peace not peace. I don't think it is real peace if I am not being authentic and others are not either.

This should be Question 26., but I'm done with that.

Would it not be feasable to assume that there IS a generic situation that could apply to all sentients upon the dawn of their race? Consider this:

When a new sentient life form is created (no matter how) they are the first of their kind. If they are not in an area that can satisfy all of their needs, they will die. If the area is hostile, filled with predators, or if there is no food, the new life form will not survive, but obviously humanity did. There also has to be a male AND a female, similar to one another, sexually compatable, attractive to one another, and one should be recessive, not too independant, not too strong minded, in order for the two to successfully breed and have offspring that will also survive.

These first beings would have a unique opportunity: take steps to ensure that their decendants never war with or oppose one another, and that they work for the betterment of the family. Of course if they don't....

The Quran calls them "People of the Book", i.e., those who received Divine scriptures before Muhammad (P). Muslims are told to treat them with respect and justice and do not fight with them unless they initiate hostilities or ridicule their faith. The Muslims ultimate hope is that they all will join them in worshipping one God and submit to His will.

"Say (O Muhammad): O people of the Book (Jews and Christians) come to an agreement between us and you, that we shall worship none but Allah, and that we shall take no partners with Him, and none of us shall take others for Lords beside Allah. And if they turn away, then say: Bear witness that we are those who have surrendered (unto Him)." (Quran 3:64)

What about Hindus, Bahai, Buddhists and members of other religions?
They should also be treated with love, respect, and understanding to make them recipients of Invitations to Islam.
