I have been having awful dreams: my 1st dream: I had a dream that I was drowning and I actually woke up coughing. My 2nd: I had a baby girl and my baby was blind and death. And my lastest one was lastnight: I had a dream that I saw my deceased grandmother; she told me that I was pregnant and when I went to the doctor office-I really was pregnant. My granny told me that she wanted me to name my baby after her and I did.

I am a Buddhist and have been offered to come and teach my insights regarding reforming Buddhism for the modern world in Nepal. The catch is-i have to go next month but they shall pay for my flight in order to help spread Dharma.
Website is www.newbuddhism.org and i must have a decision as to go soon to a country in which i dont speak the language, to a person i've only been in dialogue with in Buddhist matters without a vast amount of money with which to make a ready retreat should it go badly wrong.
In telling me what you think bear in mind i am a very adventurous person so this seems exhilirating also.
Thank you

I think a religion is about an ideal, not a god or a set of rules. More a way of leading a better life.
Religion should teach people to be better.
My religion involves a balance of being rewarded for the work you do (no footballers getting £100,000 a week!), but also being encouraged to give to those who can't help themselves - the mentally ill, chronically disabled etc.
I'd love everyone to be a vegetarian (I'm an animal lover, but I also read a very good argument in The Guardian about saving land, feeding more people etc).
Evolution IS how it happened. Renewable energy is the only way forward.
George Bush should be charged with War Crimes.
Those who abuse others should be given sufficiant punishment, but I'd like rehabilitation also.
Paedophiles need to be understood, mental illnesses don't go away with prison time.
Alcohol is fine but don't assault people while you're drunk!
We should use the earth to live, not abuse it.
The rain forest may hold the cure for aids!

My dad's side of the family is Conservative and I constantly hear them talking about how Islam is not a peaceful religion, but goes on about how they must kill all non-believers. I also hear about this on Conservative news channels.
Now here is my question. Has anyone ever actually read the Koran and does it actually say that all non-believers must be killed or is that just something that is said my Islamic Terrorists?

Any funny or fun story will get some points!

Here's an example of what I do:

If someone is in a public bathroom on their cell phone, I like to make A LOT of bathroom noises. I fart as loud as I can, flush the toilet, ask them for toilet paper, anything to make it sound like they're in a bathroom. This is even MORE fun when they're trying to hide the fact they're in a bathroom!

Sometimes, when I'm in the movie and my cell phone goes off, rude people tell me to be quiet. So I stand up and block the projector as much as I can. That's pretty fun too!

Anybody do anything fun like this?

Since Catholics give up meat on Fridays during Lent as a sacrafice, are vegetarian Catholics REQUIRED to eat meat during Lent as a sacrafice? (or is that just another arbitrary rule, like fasting 1 hour before receiving communion?)

38:44 And (it was said unto him): Take in thine hand a branch and smite therewith, and break not thine oath. Lo! We found him steadfast, how excellent a slave! Lo! he was ever turning in repentance (to his Lord).

ALOT of muslims use this verse as means to beat their wives with a small stick.

Its supply and demand. The faster you use it the more it’s going to cost. If America stopped using and buying gas for one day, there would be double the gas at the borders. The gas prices would drop at least in half.. However it’s not feasible for people to just stop using gas, However, we can all do our part to reduce the consumption, and lower the prices.

I'm working in a haunted house, and my group would like some ideas to help add to the experience. What is the one thing any haunted house should have? What could you see that would scare the pants off of you? We want to play off of other people's fears and make it an unforettable experience. Any and all ideas are welcome. Tanks! ^_^

There are so many questions about "Why do you believe in God?" or "Why should I believe in Christianity/Muslim/Hindu/etc." What I want to know is if ANYONE who has EVER asked or answered that kind of a question has ever had their opinion changed? Or are they content to ramble on about what they think and disregard other opinions?
