I think a religion is about an ideal, not a god or a set of rules. More a way of leading a better life.
Religion should teach people to be better.
My religion involves a balance of being rewarded for the work you do (no footballers getting £100,000 a week!), but also being encouraged to give to those who can't help themselves - the mentally ill, chronically disabled etc.
I'd love everyone to be a vegetarian (I'm an animal lover, but I also read a very good argument in The Guardian about saving land, feeding more people etc).
Evolution IS how it happened. Renewable energy is the only way forward.
George Bush should be charged with War Crimes.
Those who abuse others should be given sufficiant punishment, but I'd like rehabilitation also.
Paedophiles need to be understood, mental illnesses don't go away with prison time.
Alcohol is fine but don't assault people while you're drunk!
We should use the earth to live, not abuse it.
The rain forest may hold the cure for aids!
