Fair question in my opinion. Racism rears it's ugly head out of many situations, cultural bias, and harmful parenting. In any case, forgiveness and love will of course win out, but the battle to love your brother/sister, no matter their color, can be a tough one. Racism has its roots all the way back to ancient times, which makes me think that it will always continue in some form, until Jesus returns. But as christians, we should be the very ones who dispel racism by our love, gratitute and grace toward one another.

Why is it people take a few comments from someone and all of a sudden, everyone who calls themself a christian is a racist?
I am a christian, and by NO MEANS a racist. So, before judging a whole lot of people because of a few... I'd step back and think about the question you just asked and see how silly it is.

I'm a native american indian and traditional but for some reason I also became a christian. I'm not racist but you are right , a large portion of the christian communities are racist. What I honestly can say to you is they are the lip service people. They say one thing in church and as soons as they walk out of the door they go back to their old ways. It's like when a dog goes back to it's vomit, this is what some of these people do. even the bible says they do this. It's embarrassing to me to be a part of the christian society when all they do is lie to me.

a lot of people call themselves a lot of things... and there are always a group of racist people in every religion, culture, nationality, etc.
you know a christian by how they act, and if they are racist, then they have a few things to work on, just like if you were a really smart person but maybe you failed one test, you wouldn't be marked as a really dumb person, you just have to work harder on that one topic until you get it right

some have good reason to be. yeah and lets make it clear its not "racist" to hate gays. i bring this up because im sure the godhatesfags crew partially inspired this question. i hate fags because they are the scum of this earth and will surely rot in hell for their heinous deeds. some christians like myself hate gays because they spit on all thats good and live an evil life. gays are not a race. they are not a product of genetics and so they shall not be treated as such. the true allies of satan are fags.
oh and spike wilbury if u knew anything about history u would know that hitler was far from christian. do a little research, again u tout one of the biggest myths used by the god hating left in this country. read one of the platforms of socialism and you will see its hatred for any religion.

There are good Christians and there are bad Christians. Why is this not evident even to the most feeble of minds. Your question is answered in the question. They call them self Christians but that does not make them Christians.

I personally don't know any Christians who are rasists.
I don't doubt that there are some. Don't let a few bad apples soil your opinion of a large group of people.
And not everyone who claims to be a Christian is a Christian.
Fortunatly it isn't up to us to judge.

Because placing faith in Jesus, loving Him as Savior and Lord, and trying to follow and obey Him because of love for Him and what He has accomplished for us doesn't immediately make us perfect, sinless and without flaws.
That's why Christians still treat others unfairly, still lose their temper, still cheat, still sin, still lie and still do all sorts of things that unbelievers point out and charge us as hypocrites.
But the primary proclamation of Christianity is that Jesus Christ, because of His unmerited mercy and love, chooses to save unworthy, undeserving sinners like me...and is committed to perfecting me and eradicating all the vestiges and traces of sin still in me..over time.
Hope that provides a reasonable answer for you.
