When a Christian uses bible passages to condemn another person, isen't that like using the bible as a weapon. If the bible is the word of God do you think that was God's intended use?

1 - Islam treats men and women unequally, shown by the fact that women inherit half the share of men.
Incorrect: Only in some cases do women inherit half the share of men. In other cases, women inherit the exact same share as men. In others, they inherit more than men, and they even might inherit while men don't.

2 - Muslim women do not change their names after marriage.
Correct: Muslim women keep their own names after marriage to indicate that they are independent legal entities.

3 - Women are not financially independent in Islam.
Incorrect: Muslim women enjoy full financial independence from their husbands, fathers, or any other male relatives. They have full control over their money, the right to sell and buy properties, own a business, and take legal actions concerning their own possessions.

In the Bible, in Revelations somewhere, I was reading and it was talking about how bodies would be on the streets for 3 1/2 days. ( As was Katrina) It also mentioned that God destroyed that city so it could start over, it also mentioned that nations everywhere would see it, well, CNN helped that, and it also said that in that same hour, an earthquake would occur, and in California, there was an earthquake at the same time......

Rev 7:9After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10And they cried out in a loud voice:
"Salvation belongs to our God,
who sits on the throne,
and to the Lamb."

Since no denomination, be it Catholic, SDA, Baptist, Pentacostal or otherwise has more followers than any man can number in every tribe nation and language, dont you think this means it is not as hard to be saved as many would like to believe?

So I have been having deja vu a lot, and it sparked a debate over what causes it. So I am paying 5 points and posting a poll. Is deja vu:
1) A cosmic reassurance that you are on the right track in life, by having a strange but comforting feeling you have been there before.
2) A cosmic warning that you are on the WRONG track in life, by having a feeling you were already there before and have once again made the same wrong decision.
3) Just a glitch in the matrix or an Iron Maiden song.
4) Simply your brain firing the memory circuits at the same time as the perception circuits.

These are the ideas we came up with, I vote for #4, how about everyone else?

I admit, I have no idea what Jesus would say about homosexuality if he were here today. I can't imagine that he would be the mean-spirited person that I have heard here. If the Church is to ever get the message of Jesus to people, how can they hear it when the messenger is filled with venom and hate. I always thought that Christians were supposed to be kind and loving even when faced with things that are sinful. If you are called to act and voice your opinion or whatever about homosexuality and same sex marriage, are you supposed to follow through the same way with adulterers, coveters, liars, theives, etc? Or is it that you just cant get past the gay thing?

According to some Christians, Muhammad copied his religion from Jews and Christians!! The question is:
If Muhammad copied, why did he change status of Jesus from a claimed son to a prophet of God?
Christians would have been attracted by him by keeping the same faith, but he changed it. Perhap he was sent by God to change the misconception developed in Christanity by followers. Do you agree?

The bible is not law. It's a collection of stories that people built a religion around and choose to follow. Not all people. I'm glad that it works for you, but can you really expect anyone to take you seriously when you say things like "Thats against the law, because the bible said so." or "I know its true because its in the bible" You can believe whats in the bible, people are free to believe in whatever they want, but you cant "prove" something because its in the bible. Thats just ridiculous.

I don't mean to be racist or 'religionist' (if there is such a term with a prejudicial twang), but the hypocrisy beggars belief. Oh, and please, no 'defenders of the faith'... you'll just show yourself up.
