Confused in England, when people ask questions lthat include ' 'in this country what..' 'is our country ' why doe's no one sayswhat country they are in? Or when talking about money its all with dollar signs, yahoo should have a currency converter on the page.

So lets see which country ahs the most representitives on yahoo answers. tell me what country you are in, i will award the 10 points to someone from the country that sends the most answers.

I know that it can cause stress on you and possible bring you down. But that seems judgemental to me, to think 'You can't be my friend because you express a negative energy.' How can one be aware of negative energy and practice non-judgment?

say the story of the garden of eden, why is it, assuming there were only a few people, ok to incest but not ok to fornicate?
in other words, why did any of them, cain, able, etc. have to 'marry'? And why isn't the sin of fornication or immodesty in any commandments? and if specific commandments or deadly sins don't matter, why did God make such a fuss with Moses in the first place?

I hear it all the time: kids (that is, anyone under 18, or not living independently) calling adults by their first names. I have even had guests in my house instruct their children to call me by my first name (and then grin and ask, "that's ok, isn't it?") right in front of me.

I won't waste your time telling you how unacceptable this is to me (it involves a complex system of manners that is no longer taught, and you might not be familiar with it), but I *will* ask if you have any suggestions to make it stop...short of slapping anyone, that is.

Thanks for any insight you can give me; it's appreciated.

I asked this question before but didn't give enough info. :-/ I am 14 and I live in South-Africa. I am getting Japanese lessons twice a week. Studying writing, vocab and grammar is easy, but I have a problem with conversation. What should I do to be able to speak without first thinking of how to say something. There's no one I can have a conversation with, and I can't afford to go on exchange programs or such at the moment. I really want to live and study in Japan as soon as I finish school, but CONVERSATION is my biggest problem! Any tips??

Atheists..my question is can you as decendants of primates maintain a lengthened attention span ? If so..how long ? If you can go to such great lengths to prove u evolved from monkeys..etc. and there is no God...then couldst thou hold thy attention long enough to read thine own theories and objectively read as they crumble at your feet and prove in fact that there is our one God and the Lord Jesus ? Thought i'd give you my opinion first this time. words are just words. i don't believe there are bad ones. i think actions are a bajillion fold times more important to focus on and teach my children than not saying a cuss word. or anything that's contraversial really. why not push the envelope, stir some minds, and jump in and out of the box?
