You get a chance to repent anytime before you die. So if you kill someone without repenting, yes you go to hell. Oh, and you have to be truly sorry for what you did. Not just have an attitude like your going to kill someone and repent for it later. That won't work.

Why do you ask? Are you thinking about killing someone but fearing the consequences?

I'm Catholic and I agree with our belief that people have to attone for their sins. There is also Karma which is a way of attonement. I'm not so sure I believe in an eternal hell, even though that is one of the Catholic beiefs but I believe that you would go to purgatory whether you repented or not. I think your time in purgatory would simply be longer if you did not repent before you died.

Unlike Mageyver, I do not believe that onced you're "saved" and "born again", it does not matter what you do, you're going to go to heaven anyway. That concept disgusts me. It makes me think these baptists are not true Christians who do not intend to follow things like the ten commandments and that the fact that Jesus died on the cross for us gives us the green light to do whatever we want, no matter how much it may sadden God or our parents or friends because we're going to go to heaven anyway. And also, like Tina, I know that it says in the bible, all sins are forgiveable, save one and that is blasphemy, which yes, would be grieving the Holy Spirit.

I think it's much more important to focus on living in the here and now, instead of living your whole life just waiting for that fateful day. And one who might actually consider killing someone and then killing himself to avoid the consequences here should think long and hard about that one. Many times people try to kill themselves but do not succeed and spend out the rest of their miserable lives bedridden, etc, etc.

In self defence i'm not sure but if you kill someone you can still repent. The only time you can repent though is while you're still alive. But don't go around killing people once you've repented your sins cause its still wrong and against the law. But if you've never asked Jesus to forgive your sins i think you should because it will be the best thing you've ever done. Trust me.

You can always be forgiven of any sin. Thats why jesus died on the cross. Only god can judge us so don't listen to these other people telling you that you go straight to hell because that is simply not true. You have to ask god for forgiveness and come clean to anyone who you haved harmed through your actions and if you are truly sorry in your heart then you will be forgiven. No human being ever has the right to tell another human being that they are going to hell because they don't know where you've come from or where you've been so they can't possibly know where you are going just remember that only god can judge you it says so in the bible so don't listen to anyone that tells you that you are going to hell because they can't tell you that

Everyone gets a chance to repent. Biblically the only "unforgivable sin" is denying the Holy Spirit.

If EVERY Born-Again Child of GOD would go out (LORD Forbid----hahaha, just using this to make a point) and kill somebody, and they didn't REPENT and were EXECUTED, they would all be in HEAVEN.
SINNING does not send you to HELL when you leave the EARTH for GOOD.
BEING GOOD does not send you to HEAVEN when you leave the EARTH for GOOD.
YOU HAVE TO BE BORN-AGAIN (Spiritman RECREATED)
I know, it's hard to accept after all of that RELIGIOUS BRAIN-WASHING we went through.
But I am telling you the TRUTH.
Adam messed-up his Spiritman when he sinned.
That's the difference. It wasn't rebelling against GOD with little ole' pidley SIN's (lying, stealing, murder, being gay, drunkeness so on so on), ADAM comitted HIGH TREASON (a VERY HIGH KIND OF SIN) which messed-up his Spiritman----then Adam passed this messed-up Spiritman to EVERBODY ELSE!!!!!!
YOU got to get that Spiritman RECREATED. The ONLY WAY is by accepting JESUS as your SAVIOUR, JESUS is the ONLY ONE WHO can RECREATE YOU (a Spiritman in a Human Body).
Doing good will not RECREATE it.
RELIGION will not RECREATE it.
YOUR already messed-up (headed to hell) so sinning won't send you to HELL!!!!!
That's it.!!!! IN a NUT-SHELL!!!!! You gotta be Born-Again.

I'm a Christian and i believe that if you have killed someone, you can still be forgiven by God, all you have to do is ask.But if you keep sinning and then ask for forgiveness and just take him forgiving you for granted, i think that would piss him off.
