It means "if they can" or "if s/he can" or "if one can" and it's like saying "if it's possible"

I see the other two posts after mine. "Si" can mean either "yes" or "if" depending upon whether the i has an accent mark or not. Without an accent mark, it means "if" and with an accent mark it means "yes"

"Si se puede" began in Italia's soccer international cup whilst Mexico become enjoying no longer so undesirable and mexicans began cheering "si se puede, si se puede" (definite, you could) and after that even whilst Mexican needless to say could no longer they began utilizing it at each threat...

Si se puede is the chant my fellow mexican use in the world cup or mexican soccer in general. It means "They can" meaning they can do it or they can win!

It means "yes we can". It's being used as a rally call meaning that immigration laws can be changed. But I have a feeling that "yes we can" is going to come to mean "yes we can ship you back."

I think the best translation is, "Yes, it can be done."

Apparently, whatever they were talking about at the time is something that people believed wasn't possible.

I think it means "Yes he/she can," implying that they could win or something like that if you're talking sports.

Another user has your answer: If it can (If it's possible). It doesn't mean:
"Yes we can"(Sí, podemos) or
"Yes they can"(Sí pueden), or
"Yes you can"(Sí puedes).
Sí (with the accent) means "yes".
si (w/o the accent) means "if".
