I know that it can cause stress on you and possible bring you down. But that seems judgemental to me, to think 'You can't be my friend because you express a negative energy.' How can one be aware of negative energy and practice non-judgment?

I think I know what you are asking. All people have an energy. Some energy is more uplifting then others. And some energy seems to try to bring you down. Everyone is on a journey. Grade 1-12, neither is better or worse. Someone may have positive (or grade 6 energy) in some situations, and 1 in another area... All is a journey. You tend to feel at peace with people in the same energy grade or place as you. Other energies may tend to 'bring you down' because you've been there either in this life or the last, but that is going back and these people bring you to a 'lower grade of energy...' People at a higher energy can inspire you to grow.

So to pick friends, pick friends that build you and give you peace and joy. The other people are on the right track and will find their way, just as your are. You just don't mesh at this point in your journey. Who knows, in the next life or maybe later on in this one, you may be buddies. People change, it is a journey. Who knows, maybe some people find your energy below theirs, but in time, you will all be enlightened. There is no bad and good, their is just a bunch of spirits on a journey, finding peace and enlightenment. To be truely judgemental would be to label ther person, their soul, to believe they are doomed is to judge, even without a word said, attitude comes across. An accepting attitude will come across. And so will the 'we don't mesh' attitude.

I believe the key is "understanding". Usually the people that bring you down have that negative energy....it goes to the old addage of "misery loves company". If you understand their model of the world...you'll see why that act the way they do towards you...then you'll be able to shrug off the negative energy in a split second. Soon..these people will realize that you're not willing to stoop down to their level and play those games.

But my question is...why would you even want to take the time out from your valuable, constructive time to go backwards and give these people the time of day? I mean, yes, perhaps they are indeed crying out for your help....but in a very distorted way. Well, if you have the strength and time to be their friend..then either you might have a low case of self-esteem yourself...or you truly are a saint...which is good.

Good luck and prepare yourself to move on.

Yes, negativity can bring you down, but conversely, you can bring "up" someone with your positivity. No matter what they say that's negative, find a way to turn it into a positive.

You can also mentally, spiritually send love and light to a negative person. Envision them within a mist of white light and think loving thoughts toward them.

You can also envision yourself surrounded by a bubble, which acts as a two-way mirror. You can see out of it, but only love, light and positive energy may enter. All negativity is deflected back onto itself.

First, realize that there is not "negative" nor "positive" energy; there is just energy.

Second, you already are aware, just trust your intuition. You need not be around these people...you actually attract them, and by focusing on them, you will tend to attract more, until you learn to mentally bless these people on their way. See them in your mind, and say, "Go in peace, brother" (or, if you do not wish to refer to them as "brother", just say, "Go in peace.")

You are not judging, you are expressing your right to not be affected by people whose use of energy does not mesh well with yours.

I also believe that when you truly see the positive in a person rather than their negativity, you can draw it out of them more.

Many people who were considered "negativer" by most were instantly transformed by being in the presence of a loving sage, saint, guru or just one that radiants pure love always.

My ex was an alcoholic and ex drug user with lots of anger issues. But when I met her, I did not see those things. I saw her own true inner beauty and love. That was all I saw in her. My seeing the best in her and loving her unconditionally regardless of how many flaws she had, brought out the best in her.

I did have to deal and confront many of her own inner insecuritys and fears, but it was my love for her that overshadowed the negative aspects. I learnt a lot about myself and what I was capable of in my relationship with her because we were like two opposite people emotionally and mentally and it lasted 3.5 years.

I think that people can give a vibe. That is our animal instict talking to our often never used intuitive powers, it is supposed to tell us when we might be in danger. Usually I get that energy from people who really are probably dangerous or evil...... I think you should listen when you are getting a bad vibe or feeling about someone, it might one day save your life.

My whole family is like that. I just try to limit my contact with people like that. But I still love them. I just take care of myself first and I set boundaries with them.

There is Only Light.

Light Is All There Is.

All That Is Is Light

The subjective Nature of Light is Self-Radiant Being, Transendental Consciousness, or Consciousness Itself.

The Subjective Nature of Light Is God, or Truth.

When Light, or God, Is Objectified To Itself, It Appears As The Cosmic Mandala (Five Pointed Star at the Center) Of all conditional worlds, forms, and beings.

Thus, Light, or God, Utterly Pervades all conditional worlds, forms, and beings.

All conditional worlds, forms, and beings Thus Inhere In, Are Lived or Sustained By, Are Not Other Than, and Can Directly Realize A State Of Perfect Identification With Light, or God.

Light, or God, Is The Literal or Inherent Condition, Substance, Reality, Quality, and Destiny Of all conditional worlds, forms, and beings.

Light, or God, Is Never Absolutely Objectified, Nor Does Any Apparent Modification Of Light, or God, As any conditional world, form, or being, Qualify or Really Limit The Subjective Nature Of Light, or God.

Even though Light, or God, May Appear To Be Objectively Modified and Limited As and By conditional worlds, forms, and beings, The Subjective Nature Of Light, or God, Remains As Always Already Free Being, Inherent and Undiminished Consciousness, and Self-Radiant Bliss.

Therefore, The Cosmic Mandala, or any conditional world, form, or being, Need Not Evolve Perfectly, Fulfill itself Perfectly, Be Utterly Purified or Released, or Even Come To An End For Light, God, or The Real Condition to be Realized.

For Light, God, or The Real Condition To Be Realized, It Is Only Necessary For The Subjective Nature Of Light, God, or The Real Condition To Be Realized.

The Way of Realization of Light, God, The Real Condition, Truth, Bliss, or Happiness Is Not The Search For Fulfillment or Release In The Context Of Objectified Light, or God (Which is The Context Of The Cosmic Mandala, or conditional worlds, forms, and beings), but It Is To Identify With The Subjective Nature Of Light, or God (Which Is Always Prior To The Cosmic Mandala, or all conditional worlds, forms, and beings).

Consciousness (Which Is That To Which and In Which conditional worlds, forms, thoughts, beings, and self Are arising As Apparent Modifications Of Objectified Light, or God) Is Light, or God Itself.

Consciousness Is The Subjective Nature Of Light, Energy, or God.

Consciousness Is The Subjective Nature Of The Cosmic Mandala and all conditional worlds, forms, thoughts, and beings, including one's own self.

Consciousness Is Self-radiant Bliss, Happiness, or Unqualified Beings.

Consciousness Is That In Which or As Which any being Always Already Stands.

Therefore, To Identify With Consciousness Is Also To Realize Freedom, Eternal Being, Bliss, Happiness, and Love (or The Self-Radiant Nature Of Light, Energy, or God).

whatever arises conditionally or objectively is Only An Apparent, Temporary, and Illusory Modification Of Light, energy, Bliss, Love, or God.

Whatever May Appear To Be The Case objectively (Even In such a subtle form as thought) Is Only Light, or God, Appearing To Be Objectified (or Appearing As conditions), but It Is Thus Appearing Only To Itself and As Itself.

If, In The Context Of any objective event or condition (including thought), The Consciousness To Which and In Which that event or condition Is arising Is Located (As The Native and blissful Feeling Of Being Itself), The that objective event or condition Is Inherently and Perfectly Transcended In The Subjective nature or Reality or Condition of Light, or God.

Consciousness, or Light, or God, Is Bliss, Always Already Free, Never Changing.

All Modifications (all changes or conditions) Are Merely Apparent, or Illusory.

Apparent Modifications (or changes or conditions) Do Not Change Consciousness, Light, or God, Except Apparently, From the point of view Of The Modification (or the condition, or conditional being) Itself.

All conditional Modifications Are Illusory or Non-Binding appearances In The Objective (or Objectified) Aspect, Nature, Appearance, or Illusion Of Light, or God.

To Identify With Consciousness (Prior To world, form, mind, others, or self) Is To Realize The Subjective or Prior Nature and Reality Of Light, or God.

The phenomenal or conditional worlds Are Neither Necessary Nor Binding.

The arising Of phenomenal or conditional Existence Carries With it No Command or Implication Of Necessary Involvement On The Part Of The Subjective Being.

We Are Always Already Free To Identify With The Subjective Nature Of Reality and Thus To Transcend objective or conditional Existence Itself, As Well As Any Apparent Implication, Tendency, or Need For Involvement In It.

In The Realization Of The Subjective Nature Of Light, or God, all apparent or objective Light-changes Are Inherently Recognized and Transcended In The Free Bliss Of Light, or God.

To Realize Light (or To Be Literally Enlightened), or To Realize God (or To Be One With The Only One Who Is), Is To Be Transcendental Consciousness, or Transcendental Light, The Substance Of Existence, The Real Condition Of Existence, or Happiness Itself.

Liberation Through god-Realization (or Direct Identification With The Subjective Truth or Condition Of Existence) Is Senior To (and Makes Obsolete) Any Effort Of the conditional self To Be Lawful, Purified, Evolved, Fulfilled, Ended, or Released.
