I don't think they are short. I'm Mexican and I am 5`10 and I believe this height is about average.

Why do Scandinavians tend to be tall? It just has to do with genetics. In the U.S., you'll find more diversity in height because we're such a melting pot. But when the gene pool is more limited, these traits tend to remain more constant.
And by the way, certain ethnic groups may be taller because height gave their ancestors a certain advantage and natural selection kicked in. With Mexicans, height may not have offered them any advantage in their environment -- or smaller stature may have suited them well.

Maybe all the short ones come here. Maybe it's malnutrition. I think diet is what makes Asian cultures shorter than average.

hmmm...not all. I have worked with several who are over six feet. I think, that like certain other ethnic groups, they tend towards the short side.

Sorry, I dated one and he was only an inch taller than me- 5'3. All his family I met were short too.
