He was just another "Pirate" in his days, but he was a forest pirate. To him, it was just the thrill of the steal.

Firstly it's not stealing it's the redistribution of wealth.
Secondly it's not stealing because the rich got/get thier money off the backs of the poor who actually make/made the country run.
Where did he go wrong - he underestimated human nature. If you walk into a room and lock 100 people in it give each one 100 bucks at the end of the night someone will have most of it and most will have nothing. Works every time.
Change human nature - take away the avarice of the rich and then the dependence (mind set) of the poor and get people to think , which they don't and then you'd have a nice little world but then human nature hasn't changed we are still animals 20 steps away from the tree's.

Yes he did get it wrong. He stole from the rich, Stealing is wriong and gave to the poor who might have been lazy and undeserving. He took it in his own hands to be a "redistributor of wealth."--Sort of like today's Social Security system. Being a true Marxist he distributed eqally to all the poor so nobody got too much, and undoubtedly, some poor were happy and some griped that they didn't get enough and said "What good will this do?" Then some of the poor might have been shrewd enough to invest their pittance wisely and become rich so then robin hood robbed them later. Robin hood is a communist fairy tail.
PS. Castro is reportedly worth $900 million.

No because the greedy rich was always there to take it back. So the poor stayed poor and the rich stayed rich.

No King John robbed from the poor (taxes for everything), so Robin Hood just got back what the poor had paid to King John, he wasn't greedy, just trying to play fair, then King Richard came back from his crusades and everyone was happy.
It's not a fairy tail, fairies don't have tails, it's also not a fairy tale, it's true.

Yeah I think he got it wrong, I just think where he went wrong is different from you. I think he went wrong by stealing in the first place. Sorry. No matter what a person's motives are, taking what is not yours without it being a gift or paying for it is simply wrong.
Just my opinion.

Very good point. But, those who he stole from were rich enough. He gave money to those truly in need. If that is wrong, then what is right?
