More accurately humankind, as with the rest of the animal kingdom, some exert power over others, and humans, while seemingly more rational than the rest of the animal kingdom, can't seem to conquer the need for power, and throught the history of humankind, violence has been one of many ways of achieving it.
To make that into a racial issue is hypocritical, because everyone is guilty, some of the violence itself and some of standing by and allowing it to happen. It was true in the prehistoric era, and it is true to this very day.

You have to understand that Violence come from all race and from few peoples who don't like differences thing (the language you speak, the colour of your hair , the way you walk , the colour of your skin , and so on ).
Violence we don't get born with it , that one thing we learn by other , by news , by T.V , Even some time by our family .
Our task as human is to know , to not take those comments for granted . And always remember we are all human with different way to live . And remember Violence was always part of our past ,present and sadly our future .
Whites againstt Whites , Blacks agains Blacks ,
Look at the Natives (Indians) Iroquois against Moak Theirs skin are the same .
look at some country English against French , Protestant again Catholic .
You see we can go on and on .
VIOLENCE DIDN"T STAR BECAUSE BLACK AND WHITE PEOPLE.
Hope that help you to understand.
Have a great day

Violence is a part of the human history and it is not the fault of any race of man. It just happens because of many things. On an individual basis it's because of fear; might not get what I want; someone might take something away from me; someone might hurt me or my family, etc...on a larger scale it appears to be about land, money and power. Use this explanation as a means of looking at history and study the early Roman Empire, the Tudor Kings of England, the 2nd World War, and then the civil rights movement. Take all of it into consideration before you make a decision as to whose fault it is. I think you'll find that at some level it is because of every one of us.

Most of the violence in the world my dear is in the word of God. Religion has killed more people than anything else ever. Long before black and white. Pick up a book sometime, it's all there for you.

Neither.
Didn't you ever see a movie or even a cartoon of a cavemen clubbing and than dragging a women by her hair.
The mere survival of a wild animal is violent.
Blacks were violent to blacks in Africa long before and during the slavery years.
Whites have a history of it.
Colors only real influence is it makes knowing which side your on easier.

Considering that violence has been around as long as humans could grasp a stick, and that the earliest humans were closest to what we today consider black, I'd have to say that logically the black people were the first to exhibit violence.
HOWEVER, I think imagineworld got it right--it's a human trait, and not related to race. Blacks were here first, as other races developed, they probably developed violence at around the same, early stage in their developement.

Does it matter who started it?
You could say it started with the French and Brits picking up slaves from the Dahomey empire in West Africa, then again there were also black Moors attacking Spain centuries before...
Hell, ancient Egypt attacked the black empires in the Sudan repeatedly, and they fought back (though perhaps ancient Egypt's not white enough?)
I think you're best off not worrying about it.

Partly both, partly because of misunderstandings. A lot of it is between the difference in religions. The war in the middle east started long ago, but reflamed to a new height when Israel was given their own patch of land, which had to be taken from the Palestinians. Or so I've heard, anyway.

i never thought of that but my answer would b not really. its just that ppl were so hateful against those of a different race. n there were ppl that hated those tryin 2 make a difference. n those who hated those that didnt do or say anythin bout the problem. n now must ppl r still the same way.
so i wouldnt say violence all started cause of blacks n whites, i would just say that it is part of the problem! thanks 4 posting this ques. u really helped ppl realize that violence is accruing n that we should think real n hard on the issue!
