So I have been having deja vu a lot, and it sparked a debate over what causes it. So I am paying 5 points and posting a poll. Is deja vu:
1) A cosmic reassurance that you are on the right track in life, by having a strange but comforting feeling you have been there before.
2) A cosmic warning that you are on the WRONG track in life, by having a feeling you were already there before and have once again made the same wrong decision.
3) Just a glitch in the matrix or an Iron Maiden song.
4) Simply your brain firing the memory circuits at the same time as the perception circuits.

These are the ideas we came up with, I vote for #4, how about everyone else?

4.

1 and 2 are good, but deja vu has nothing to do with life.

3 is actually also the name of a Dream Theater song(Strange Deja Vu)

Deja Vu, as my point of view and based on experience after studying some about this, I finally got to a conclusion:

Deja Vu happens when you remember a dream, something you predict to happen, or something you wish it would happen. Most of the times we don't remember our dreams, but our brain retains moments and when they are happening we get the deja vu.

i think it truly is a momentary disconnect on your suggestions. as an occasion, you may even see some thing with the two your eyes, yet for a 2nd your left eye procedures it and right this moment places it into reminiscence. A chop up 2nd later your good eye procedures it, and it truly is recalled out of your reminiscence. Your suggestions does not distinguish between a reminiscence that took place a millisecond in the past or one that took place 40 years in the past, so which you get an unusual feeling which you have experienced it formerly. (and technically you have...in user-friendly terms a million/a million,000,000th of a 2nd in the past) ultimately the two sync up back and the sensation of deja vu is going away. Does that make experience? undecided I defined myself nicely.

#2, I don't think it means always right or wrong. It could just mean you're coming to a cross road that needs to be carefully chosen.

well, i dont really know what you mean above but i think its just your brain remembering something similar that has happened before in your life but you just dont remember all the details.
