Love everyone else's kids, and I know I would be a great mother..but having a child 24/7 is not for me. Why do I get strange looks from married women with kids. Is it wrong for a woman not to WANT to be a mother?

Hello, I am looking for a good Hungarian Language textbook, (NOT a "teach yourself" type of book or audio CD program) -- preferably one that is or was in use in a college course setting. Please reference the ISBN or author and title when you post your suggestions. A website address would be most appreciated. Thank you for your help!

If they really wanted to stop abortions then they would be for other forms of Birth-control, like the pill, condoms passed out in schools, et. all.

But they don't seem to be for those either, which are proven to prevent pregnancy. So coming from a Biblical perspective, the bible advocates the control of men and society over women and their bodies, and their sexuality. This is the basis for the anti-choice movement. NOT "saving" innocent balls of cells...Science and society have proved that it's not murder anyway.

I have been working with this company for about 8 months. Everyone has been REALLY nice to me and everything. I am basically accepting this new job because it pays over 2 dollars more an hour, is a way shorter drive, and gives me more responsiblites. This is gonna come as a shock to my supervisor/co-workers as I have never mentioned even looking for a new job. I just don't want them to be upset with me, or rude to me. Especially when I am gonna have to be there for 2 more weeks. I am so nervous to talk to my supervisor tomorrow! Any suggestions to not be so nervous would be appreciated. I doubt I'll get any sleep tonite.

Why should i go to hell simply because I am not a protestant or a catholic or a jew. As long as i am a good person here on earth, shouldnt i get a good after life too? Considering how many religions there are, it doesnt seem fair to send me to a bad afterlife because I didnt believe in the right one.

"Although the opinion that life begins at fertilization is the most popular view among the public, many scientists no longer support this position, as an increasing number of scientific discoveries seem to contradict it. One such discovery in the last twenty years is that research has shown that there is no "moment of fertilization" at all. Scientists now choose to view fertilization as a process that occurs over a period of 12-24 hours. After sperm are released they must remain in the female reproductive tract for seven hours before they are capable of fertilizing the egg. Approximately ten hours are required for the sperm to travel up to the fallopian tube where they find the egg. The meeting of the egg and the sperm itself is not even an instantaneous process, but rather a complex biochemical interaction through which the sperm ultimately reaches the inner portion of the egg. "

It seems to me that all of the money spent in rebuilding should have been spent on relocating. It's a death trap! Sure the dams and such are better now, but it's still a loaded gun pointed at all of the people there. It's going to cost people BILLIONS again sometime. Just call it for what it is and realize that it's not worth billions to keep rebuilding. The people there will be better off also, so it's not just money I'm thinking of here...

I'm sure someone will say something like "culture" and "unique city". I call BS on that because I ask you, what's more important than your own life and the ones you love?

I wish it was in the US.... are there any countries that at least strongly look down on it, rather than flying it around as a woman's liberty, which is totally lame and depressing?

Much of Christian fundamentalism appears directed very specifically against various aspects of modernity: modern science, modern social institutions, modern gender roles, etc. Modern gender roles, though, seem to be the most important.

The traditional gender roles supported by Christian fundamentalists are more detrimental than helpful to society; in the long run, America will be far better off the more equal the involvement of both men and women in society can be.

I was reading this question about homosexuality and Jesus.
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=At.pti05cdZ9.8lOSNaRwwzzy6IX?qid=20060619154536AAe0rNo

Some of the answers were:
"Jesus calls homosexuality an abomination"
" Jesus will not ever accept gays sorry"
"Jesus would not change his mind about gays"

Pls, Christians (and i did read the Bible), please give me some bible quotes where is stated that Jesus names homosexuality an abomination??

and that he has come back, then why do people believe jesus ever existed? Couldn't the original jesus have been a phony too? I am not saying Jesus the man never existed but why would people believe he was son of god if they wouldn't believe someone saying that now? I am not bashing I am curious.

In my opinion, speaking in tongues in the modern church is a huge misinterpretation of the Bible. As I understand it, speaking in tongues is a gift from God that allows a person to speak a language that can be understood by every culture in the world. This gift would be very beneficial to a missionary. So when a person is speaking in tongues, everyone should be able to understand what they are saying, right? So why then, in many christian churches of today, does an overly emotional individual throw himself on the ground and begin to speak jibberish, and then call it speaking in tongues. If it were truly speaking in tongues, then wouldn't everyone understand what they were saying? Why does someone need to interpret? What do you think?
