What I don't understand is why so many people want the opinion of those here on Y/A concerning homosexuality.
We are all people, different faiths, different degrees of faith and all sinners.
The only opinion that matters is God's and He has spoken quite plainly about it.
If He, GOD, changed HIS mind about that I sure hope He don't change HIS mind about John 3:16.
May God Bless.

To try and clear the confusion, I believe this is the Christian view on Homosexuality:

To tell a homosexual person that it is fine to be a Christian and practice homosexuality is to mislead them. Here is what I would like every homosexual to understand: God loves you very much, but He hates the practice of homosexuality, just like he hates every other sin.

Even if a person was born homosexual, this does not condone the practice. In fact we are all born as sinners (according to Psalms chapter 51 verse 5 - it says: "Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me."), however when we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour -he forgives our sins and purify us, and we undergo a process of change to become like Him. So Christianity is the right "religion" for everyone, including homosexuals, all we need is to surrender our lives to Jesus, and repent of our sins, including homosexuality.

I sympathise with those who cannot help how they feel and cannot change their ways. However, the good news I have is this: Jesus has the power and ability to change you, just like he has power to change an alcoholic, a drug addict, a prostitute, a thief, etc., you need is to surrender to him. Any homosexual who does not believe this is undermining Jesus' power to change him. Luke chapter 1 verse 37 says: "For nothing is impossible with God.", and that means - nothing - including deliverance from homosexual practices.

So what should be a Christian's response to a homosexual? We must not condemn homosexuals, or discriminate against them,
however we need to tell them the truth that: God loves them, but He hates the practice of homosexuality, just like he hates every other sin. We need to encourage them to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.

We must not treat homosexuals like outcasts, and at the same time we must not cover the truth regarding homosexuality. We need to point out the reality of the following Bible verses:

"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor
idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders." 1 Corinthians 6:9

"But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."
Revelation 21:8

"If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he (God) is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:8-9

Romans 1:18-32

It is not right not to speak the truth. I pray that all Christians will get a true revelation of the Bible, and stop misleading other people, including homosexuals. And as we speak the truth, let us remember Ephesians 4:15 which says:

"Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ."

We need to speak the truth "in love". So When we do something out of love, we will not be harsh, insensitive, judgemental but kind, compassionate and considerate.
So as much as we do not refuse or stop alcoholics, thieves, unfaithful husbands, wayward wives, rebellious teenagers, or any
other sinner - including ourselves when we fall into sin, etc, from attending church; knowing that our only hope in in Christ
alone, we need to welcome homosexuals into our churches - knowing that when we surrender to Christ, he is able to change us - Christ is our only hope.

Anyone who uses religion to justify their prejudices is more than a bit twisted.
