Is islam tolerant?

sufi's and yasidi's are very tolerant muslim sects. They even embrace ideas from outside sources. These 2 groups use the term jehad as a spiritual struggle against the evil mind, and not in order to blow up people.
is that the reason why lots of muslim's are converting to sufism and yasidism?

We refused to fight...was that right?

When i was in my high school years..there were riots erupting in our school. I had finally gotten in with the right crowd and we suddenly decided that we werent going to fight anymore. Even when we were surrounded once and other kids began to harm us we refused to fight. We would simply walk away and go to the school office and ask for help. We all made a pact..that even if we were assaulted we would not hit back but instead go to the police. We were ridiculed as peace hippies, etc. Did we do the right thing ?

Do you think a lot of african americans are racist toward white people?

I find that on t.v. such as comedy central it is perfectly acceptable for a black comedian to make racial comments about the white race but that would never be tolerated vice versa. Also in my home town there is a thing called the african american ball. If there were a ball just for white folks that would be considered rasict. Don't even get me started on BET. Black Entertainment Televison. If their were a WET white entertainment television it would be shut down and called racist. Also I feel like a lot of black people don't like me because of my race. I never did anything to them and like them just fine. Why is there such a big difference beteween what is socially o.k.? Racism is Rasicm. Period.

Do you wish the world was a more tolerant place?

That people weren't put down for their religion so much, or even whether or not they believe in God. That if people say anything it shouldn't be arguements, but sharing your faith, or your belief that God does not exist, rather than insulting can you share, can you please be mature? ie- Grown up, or are the "people" I see that keep insulting eachother in the Religious/Spirituality section just ten years old?

two years ago at midnight we lost our friends and almost lost our life. why?

if dear friends we pray different way it doesn't mean we don't have families we care about. it doesnt mean we are ennemies. why politic should run our life? who told you we can't be friends? this is a love message. think twice. god is for all of us. have you told him that you love him? What do you plan on doing today to honor your dad? I lost my father to cancer this year. If I were you, I'd spend as much time as possible with your father today because you never know what tomorrow may bring.

Would you knowingly kill a messenger of God? Is there a "little" god in all of us??

Its said that we have a inner voice that helps us make the righteous(right) decisions on all matters.This applies to second guessing ourselves. God, It is said guides our "first" thought or decision and every time we second guess it we our slowly killing the little god in us. This ultimately leads to spirital death..Would you agree?

Confederate Flag, is it legal to fly outside?

I have a Confederate battle flag on my wall in my home, and thought of flying it outside. Bad thought, some people would be offended, but people can fly almost any other flags and I get offended, but who cares. Is it because blacks think blacks didn't fight for the South? Why are so many people trying to prove God wrong on this?

It's a waste of time, you can drag your negative feelings out on others, it does nothing to the true believers. Is it fun for you or something? Honestly noone is going to convert anyone to any belief whether they are athiest, muslim, jewish, or christian, we're all going to have the same opinion or be upset and fire back at the person who asked, so can't we all just respect eachother, instead of trying to prove everyone wrong, it's all in vain and does nothing..
