because they see someone with something they dont have so they think there life sucks

What if there ain't nothing to be content about?Many people have the same problems.Needing money for necessary home repairs,property taxes,health care,transportation,comforts,Utilities-and that's just the drudgery part.People want fun and luxery items,to travel,and get an education,have a family,and proper social relationships and not wait forever for it.

Would you be contented with your life if you were suffering every day? Being tortured, or having chronic pain, for example?

its becoz human mind is tuned to like every thing that some1 else has, which they think is nice and so the greed for more material goods grows.
greed is the main reason 4 discontentment

I hate my job. (I make lot's of money but I hate my job!)

I hate where I live.

I miss my friends.
