Fathers Day a Catholic thing? Where are you getting your info?

Fathers Day, like Mothers Day, is a "Hallmark Holiday" designed to sell stuff like cards, ties, and power tools.

I do not fall for such "holidays". Instead, I prefer to show my Mother and Father what they mean to me every day of the year.

That being said, I will call my Dad - like I do every Sunday. It is hard to visit since my family lives 1,200 miles away. If I lived closer, I would visit.

I think it's an everybody thing. I don't have a father in my life, instead, I honor my mother for playing both roles when I was a child, and I think we'll have dinner, and take a stroll. Happy Fathers Day to your Father! :-)
