We as humans long to have another by our side... someone to love and to be loved by... everyone wants this, yet, when you actually have it, there is A LOT of work involved and can often cause enourmous amounts of emotional stress...

What are your thoughts on this? How do you deal with your own emotional stress in relationships?

from childhood i was known to be a enthusiastic and intelligent girl.i used to be ahead of all the social and curricular activities.. now suddenly i have become a loner. i have started liking to be alone. my confidence level is gone down. i m having frequent mood swings like i will be very happy and peaceful in a moment and the next moment i will be tremendously upset. now i want a thing or i want to do something its totally opposite after some time. i feel irritated, angry, restless, insecure in myself.if someone does something that i dont like i tend to get angry quickly and get aggressive. i know i m loosing friends coz of that.do i have any mental disorder???? i want to get rid of this i want to be happy. i want to be as i was before... wats happening to me? plz help. plz tell me wat i can do.......thanks

So, I'm reading this book as well as the Bible. I'm going through a life-changing transformation as we speak. I'm 23 turning 24 around the corner and have realized I've wasted sooo much time being depressed about my past life. My father molested me as a kid and it affected me. But, as I got older I didn't take responsibility for my own life and let what happened to me dictate my life. I've made a lot of friendships along the course of my life and it all ended in us going separate ways due to my insecurity and the choices of my friends were altogether based on dependency. I'm ready to make a change and be proactive. I want to meet people again not to fill my void but because I want to socialize healthily, be proactive, feel beautiful again, and take control of my life. Has anyone gone through something like this...where you just fell into deep depression and loneliness? What I want to know is of success stories and of how much you've changed so that I may be inspired.

I do not desire sex, intimacy, or to have a husband. I know this is not normal. I have bad experiences with male figures and cannot trust them. I do not like male attention, it makes me very uncomfortable and disgusted. Please no rude remarks, I am only seeking information. Thank you.

Mine is:

A little girl was walking in the woods to go to her grandmothers house to bring her a basket filled with food.Then the wolf asked the little girl where is she heading she told the wolf she's going off to her grandmothes house to bring her basket for her sick grandma,the wolf went off and follow the little girl to her grandma's house sneak inside the house eat the the grandmother and took her clothes and try to disquise as an old lady so the wolf could fool the little girl he was her grandmother.That didn't fool the little girl when she step inside the house towards the room where her grandma lay lying in bed sick went and gazed at her grandma's eyes and and the little girl pulled out a revolver and shot the wolf dead in the bead.

-------This is my version of the "Red Riding Hood" i've read soo far in my HighSchool years.don't tel me it's wrong it's just a different version I know the real version I'm just asking whatkind of Red Riding Hood version you read?

I am a psychology major and would like to become a doctor of clinical psychology, so i figured that trying to work out any issues i have with the field, may be a healthy process.

So, if we have a field of medicine which can treat, quite well, many of the most severe psychological disorders, do we need psychology?

mentally toying with a woman(mind games)then berating her,and then lauhing about it.All because she made him mad . Driving her out of a public facility, forcefully asking her age... asking her inappropriate questions like if she is wanting to get shot at(for being in the wrong area)telling her to come here.And all acting like all of this was nothing.

After being verbally abused for 20 years, some physically abused, and taught that it's okay to hit others, how does one get rid of these thoughts about one's self, get rid of the abuse that they were taught and stop hitting others, learn inner self peace, and inner self acceptance? I'm already in counseling. It's working, but I don't see her enough.

In 1988, 31-year-old Laurie Dann, who had been taking Anafranil and Lithium, walked into a second-grade classroom in Winnetka, Ill., and began shooting. One child was killed and six wounded.

Later that same year, 19-year-old James Wilson went on a shooting rampage at the Greenwood, S.C., Elementary School and killed two 8-year-old girls and wounded seven others. He'd been on Xanax, Valium and five other drugs.

Kip Kinkel, a 15-year-old of Springfield, Ore., in 1998 murdered his parents and proceeded to his high school where he went on a rampage killing two students and wounding 22 others. Kinkel had been prescribed both Prozac and Ritalin.

Patrick Purdy, 25, in 1989 opened fire on a school yard filled with children in Stockton, Calif. Five kids were killed and 30 wounded. He been treated with Thorazine and Amitriptyline.

Steve Lieth of Chelsea, Mich., in 1993 walked into a school meeting and shot and killed the school superintendent, wounding two others, while on Prozac
