I recognize that the stress in the relationship is a test to make sure we can endure a lasting life together. If the stress is too difficult and the relationship breaks, then I'd have to move on. Being married now, it still has its emotional stresses. We just know its to make us a stronger couple for us and our little ones.

I guess this comes down to the old saying "becareful what you wish for." If you look at relationships in primitive societies, anthropologists have noticed how easy going life is for people living in villages or being nomads. I guess with the development of a modern society and the pressures that are put upon us, something that was not supposed to be so stressful has become stressful. Regardless that need for being with someone, loving someone and being loved is still a strong desire. So now you have to weigh whether to be lonely or whether to be in a relationship with all the stress and anxiety that comes with it.

We talk it out. The thing is everyone has his / her own way of communication. And sometimes two people who love each other can hardly understand what another person is saying. The common problem is that everyone enjoys listen to themselves talk, what we all should learn is listen. Really listen to your lover.

I married a man completely opposite in his communication skills, like most of us. We had to learn to co-exist somehow and learn quickly. No one wants to suffer, so we started talking. He was not big on sharing his feelings, but I was. So I taught him everything I know. It took time, but it was worth the effort. It has been over 17 happy years of none stop communication ever since. Smile.
