i had a friend who was jealous of someone. then she said that "everything evens out in the end" she went on to tell a story about a woman who had everything in life- a big home, a wonderful husband, two lovely children, and great beauty. but then she died. of instestinal cancer at 40. and my old friend says, "everything evens out in the end." basically, she means to say some people who have it all will end up with nothing. and people who have nothing end up with more. so people basically get their little lot in life. i thought that was a terribly mean thing to think about people. what do you think? also, do you think it is true that everything evens out in the end?

Yeah lets say you become bored of life, and instead of taking the horrific, painfull, and all so final way out, a person had the option of lets say litterally sleeping your life away. Then lets say arrive at the finish line, from the persons perspective and live out their final days, with out all of life's little drama's ups and downs. This kinda would be pathetic and alot like cheating on a test but would you take the option?

Why is it that most of the people that I have encountered from that part of the world do not see African Americans as Black. As a visiter in Egypt I have constantly been told that I am not black, I am Arab or Iranian. Is this simply a problem that I have encountered or are African Americans viewed by the Africa and the Middle East as being something other than black. Maybe this issue has something to do with the fact that I am light brown skin, but then again so are just about over half of the population of African Americans; most of my family are either peacan brown or light brown. It is even worst when I have visited certian parts of kenya, some even call me an American white man. I REALLY WANTED TO KNOW HOW IN THE WORLD CAN THEY COME UP WITH THAT CONCEPT BECAUSE THERE IS NOTHING ABOUT ME THAT LOOKS WHITE!!!!!!!!

I'm short tempered, but I'm ok with my friends. What I don't understand is that I'm so much easier to get angry and impatient with people who are really close to me, like my parents and my boyfriend, even though I love them more than anybody else.

I mean, have we all become so dogmatically Politically Correct that we no longer recognize good satire. Have any of your answers fell on not only deaf ears, but plebian mind sets? Is there no give and take in honest communication ? Some of these questions are so inane they beggar description. First Ammendment? Eh?
Some of these tender, precious minds that get all offended when someone gives an answer to thier(mostly) ridiculously lousy questions must do so just so they can narc on their more hip brethren/ sisters, etc. We called them tattletales when I was a child. I have a few choice names for them now but it's doubtful they'll ever hear them since I'm sure I'd be censored again.
Bunch of wadded pantie wearing , socially dysfunctional, na-na-na-na giberring poltroons is what they are.
Maybe you think I'm over reacting, but wait till it happens to you a few times. And then there's never any reply to your own protests.
There, I've vented. Blessed relief.

I have a friend whose brother is a psychopath. Most of his friends don't come over because they are scared of him. And i do know he causes trouble in his family. But what i don't get is he is considered the best camp counselor, the camp has ever had. He was and still is considered the perfect camp councilor. Flaw less at handling kids of all ages for weeks on end. But not getting along with the other councilors. And one year he just quit. Can someone shed some light on this?

I'm male, 19, and I've just recently noticed something. Well, not recently, but this time I actually gave it some thought and it intruiged me.

Today I was in a "downer" mood. It was raining, didn't have much to do. I have one class at a college with complete strangers, so that wasn't exactly the happiest time. I was in that headspace, the quiet "listen to the rain" place. (I'm an artist so bare with me, I like to use metaphors and stuff.) Then, all it took was one thing to spark my "upper" feeling, in this case, it was a nice 3 min conversation with a stranger. I felt like everything was just GREAT and I felt refreshed.

So what exactly happend here? One TINY spark and my emotions shift? Is that normal? It's the same for any emotion for me. All it takes is a few words for my feelings about EVERYTHING to change. I know I suffer fromt he habit of not letting things go when things go bad, like someone random yelling a bad remark about me. Does that have anything to do with it?

The other day I was skimming through posts by other readers/posters, you know, just surfing the web, and I saw a few other posters answering posted questions, but in a not-so-nice way. In my opinion, I think if you feel that the question is silly or whatever you want to call it, you should take advantage of your right not to answer it if you're going to do it in a disrespectful way....Tell me what you think.

I know it's not meant to be a good thing to be a Mama's boy, but all the ones I have met have been super nice with really sweet mothers.

Could it be their mums are just so genuinely wonderful that they can't help adoring them and getting attached?

When I was in 6th grade, I got into an argument with a classmate, in class. I remember arguing, though most of it was pretty hazy. As far as I remember, I was just arguing and angry, but then I got in trouble for flipping him off, which I don't even remember doing! I didn't even have control over it! I was instantly sent outside, when the teacher asked me why I flipped him off, and my first thought was, “DID I FLIP HIM OFF???” That was a revelation, since I didn’t recall EVER doing it, even one minute after it happened. I know the teacher did not lie, she saw it, and I DID flip him off, BUT WHY DIDN’T I REMEMBER IT???
