I know it's not meant to be a good thing to be a Mama's boy, but all the ones I have met have been super nice with really sweet mothers.
Could it be their mums are just so genuinely wonderful that they can't help adoring them and getting attached?

I am a Mama's Boy and proud of it. Yes, my mother is super nice.
People calling someone a mama's boy makes me laugh.
I will write you what I told a friend in my teen years. I have epilepsy. In my teen years my friend told me two guys called me pumpkin brain and wanted to kick their butts. I told him this, "There are millions of dumbbutts just like those two. If I go fight those two I will have to fight millions of idiots just like them. Them making fun of me is their problem."
You calling some guys a mama's boy is your problem.
I think it is funny, it is okay for a girl to be a daddies girl, but a boy can't be a mama's boy.
Why didn't you define mama's boy, because I also consider myself a daddies boy.

NO mama's boys usually have controlling demonstrative mothers, they are generally not nice.These mothers will not be to appreciative of a girlfriend since they don't think the girl is good enough for their boy.Usually these boys will do what mom says above anybody else, that
is why they call them"mama's boys."

Yes, it is possible that their mothers are wonderful people. Why not? I think it's a good thing to be a mama's boy if the mother is wonderful, and only a bad thing if the mother is controlling, demanding, and domineering. The son with the good mom is devoted to her out of love, and will show the same devotion to his wife and children. That is what he was taught. The son of the bad mama is devoted out of obligation and guilt, and will never be able to develop that kind of attachment to a wife, unless she is the same way.

Mama may seem nice and sweet, but I bet you will find that she is also very controlling and manipulative. A good, sweet, nice mama would let her son go and allow him to spread his wings and enjoy life. I would never marry or be around a mama's boy.

Well, my mother in law is "nice" but since my husband is a Mama's boy, most of the time she meddles in our business and it get's to a point where i just pull out my hair in frustrations.

I am proud to be a mama's boy. I have no shame in that. Cause my mom is the best in the world. My mom is the KING! My mom takes care of me very well. I love my mom. MY MOM IS THE BEST!!!

I think they were born into disipline if I'm not mistaken. The mom is the disiplintarian. The kid sees her as the above all authority.
Nice moms make paranoid kids.

Possible, but you never know. Their mothers may be phsycotic and have severely damaged thier children, making them think that they can't function without their mothers.
But if hes just a sweetheart, dont take my advice!

They may be nice to their boys but I think they are wicked to their daughter-in-laws (most times). I think they have that attitude of no one is good enough for my son.
