I think one of the most important things you can do to create rapport among your team is to create opportunities for them to get to know each other - try hosting some "social" events during working hours (for example, lunch at a restaurant, ice cream social).

Frequent team meetings could also be helpful. Communication is the key to developing a good team. If you create an environment where sharing information is rewarded, then people may be more likely to share information than to keep it to themselves.
