I know this does not apply to everyone but why do we so easily block any reference to forgiveness or mercy to a homeless hungry person, we are not God and cannot judge this person. Most can so easily walk by this person, knowing they are cold, wet, hungry, probably in pain from lack of medical attention. Yes, there are many who are on the street running a con to make money, or a con to buy drugs.
But there are people who despite everything in thier power have fallen to the bottom.
What of these people.
We do not judge a wet, hungry animal, there is only pity.
So why do we now put ourselves above God and decide these people are not worth having a roof over their heads, food, medical attention?
If you are going to say that they don't want it, I will only half believe you, I am sure they would like food at least.
Many are mentally ill and cannot decide for themselves. The cost is too high so mental housing has been closed except for a few.
