Dreams are for the most part fantasies that are fueled by imagination. A temporary vision problem wouldn't affect someone's ability to visualize, and therefore their ability to dream.

I do not know about people who are born blind, but I do have a friend who was sighted until she was 12 then had a fever and it cause her to lose her sight and she continued to dream, although as time went on and we would talk about things she was beginning to forget color.
She moved and we haven't talked in a long time so I don't know if she would continue to do so now.
You do mean the images and stuff that goes through our minds when we are asleep.

Dreams come from a person's subcousious. Although dreams may contain objects from real life most of the dream consists of abstract and impossible sitchuations and ideas. Moreover, a person who is blind is forced to imagine the outiside world, for this reason thier dreams can be more detailed and vivid than a non blind person's dreams.

I don;t think so because images are still stored in our memory. It's not like we use light to dream afterall.
