I'm a bit eclectic (which I actually like) and also have a keen mind. Do you find people on this site to be more eclectic, keen minded or simply odd ? No matter, just wondering. Know of the scene in the movie " Young Frankenstein " and the name of the brain brought to the doctor ?

Your psychotherapist informs you that you have many irrational thoughts with no logical basis. He begins to challenge those thoughts by confronting you each time you use them. Which school of psychology does your psychotherapist support?

I told a male friend of mine who was frustrating me to "count me out as a friend" just because i was getting tired of apologizing all the time to him for what he thought I was always doing wrong. he replied by telling me "Count you out immediately and to show you how I am taking out a lawsuit against you ".
The lawsuit holds no water ,but the surprise reaction does.
Why would someone take such strong measures to eliminate a friend?????I was just not wanting to keep having to be apologetic to someone when they were not to me. I want to be myself.
We are not speaking now and he is hurt by my reaction to his lawsuit....i called the Police, the Church and the lawyer to solve this lawsuit stuff. I am exhausted in the process.

Okay. So I liked this girl last year. And I was positive that she liked me too, because she was flirting like crazy, and gazing at me for long amounts of time. So I told her I liked her and she rejected me. Now, this year, she's slowly letting me catch her looking at me, and showing off around me, while her two closest friends are being really nice to me.

Could be because she is in doubt about her engagement? You say her, hello and she says: my boyfriend and I... Then you ask her: Do you like pizza? And she answer: My boyfriend and I are able to eat two pizzas each... And so on.
It sounds as she is not sure on her engagement. Could it be?
Or maybe she is protecting herself, trying to avoid that the rest of people think that she is cheating.
The context here is that she express that, letting you perceive at the same time, that she has an interest on you.
But when you are very "close", she use again her boyfriend´s name and "shock" you.
And you dont know what to do (how to process) with that name.
Is that an excentric reaction because she is "torn between two lovers"?
Can somebody explain me, considering this context, WHAT´S IN THIS WOMAN´S MIND?

I'm 15 years old. When i was a child i was sexually abused by three people who were close to me. I also have been in relationships that i have been sexually harassed and sexually abused. Now when i'm getting "in to the moment" with my serious boyfriend, i start to freak out and become distant because i picture terrible past events that have happened to me. Its tearing my relationship apart. I also have trouble sleeping and consintrating on work at school. I also hate going out with my friends and im very jumpy all the time. I have a very low-self esteem. I need to know if i have post traumatic stress disorder before i tell anyone about my past so i dont sound crazy.

I want to know if I am a vampire.

From an early age I have had nightmares about bats. Now I have overcome my fears. Infact I dress as a bat quiet often.

I don't find I have an urge to suck blood, but I like to suck bodily fluids of all kinds (yes i am a freak).

I also have deep sexual desires, with both men, women and bats .

How do I know if I am a vampire. Besides the fact that I live in a cave, drive a fast car that looks like a bat, have sexual fantasies about bats and dress like a bat, I am relativly normal.

I also have the overwhelming desire to fight crime, I am like Casper the friendly ghost. But I am a bat and fight crime.

Please help me, I need to know the truth.

I have a 26 yr old friend who was raised by disfunctional parents and she needs to learn different ways of coping with life rather than drinking alcohol or drugs or other destructive behaviors. I am willing to guide her and offer support but I believe true change has to come from within and I can't do that for her. But I can offer her resources to it, if I knew what they were. (and meditation is out, she won't sit still that long)
Where is the best starting point? What are the most effective ways to communicate with her? She has been trying to evolve but seems to panic and fall back into her old destructive patterns. I know she wants to change but she is also a rebel and a skeptic, so it'll have to be clever and interesting.
Does anybody know the right thing to say?

If it was legal would you opt to put a loved one out of their misery if they asked you?

My thoughts: we have compassion to put down our animals when they are dying of a chronic illness, or have had a traumatic event which there is no hope of recovery. Should we not extend this to humans?
