I'd go. You know why? Because I am bored out of my skull and noone likes me. And I have an insatiable curiosity and craving for adventure. And I'd be able to study the outer realms where no human hsa ever gone before. If I find any aliens I'll call you.

What would be the point? Even an infant wouldn't live long enough to reach the nearest solar system (Alpha Centauri) and in the interim there would be absolutely nothing to see or do.

Interstellar space is essentially empty and unimaginably vast. With our current technology we couldn't get to another star for thousands of years. Life aboard such a ship alone would be exactly equivalent to a sensory deprivation experiment that lasts a lifetime.

Might as well just lock somebody up on Earth, and use the money saved on the rocket to make donations to your favorite lobbyists - you know, something really useful.

Not really, my curosity is huge yet in space I'll be all alone and I hate that..

I rather be alone in a place where I can control my situation, but then again it sounds interesting yet lonely..
