Psychology - November 2006

I have to do a presentation next week. Although I am quite confident with all the material and already made a perfect outline for my speech, yet I am very nervous about presenting them to the class. I've always had issues with doing presentation since I was in high school, and it's quite embarassing that it actually shows on my face as I became very nervous, my cheeks would turn red, my voice stutters, and my hands are shaking as I'm holding the papers, then the teacher or my class would try to tell me to calm down. This also happen quite often as I'm talking to new people, too. So how can I overcome this fear of speaking in front of the class? Thanks

i dreamed of climbing a whole lot of stairs to go to my ex office.I am relaxed and is humming a song.i am going there to meet the person i love.while climbing the steps somebody was ahead of me and thus some dust flew and enterd my mouth.but still i went up and saw him.he was with his friends who shouldnt know abt us.but he turned away and ignored me.i felt bad and ran down the steps in search of water to wash my mouth.thn i felt that he too was running down the steps after me.

correct category...BUT: Why is it that fans get so excited over team sports?...I live in Vancouver and the BC Lions just won the Grey Cup...My question is --why do the fans treat the victory as if it were a personal accomplishment?...They only sat on their sofas/or in their bars watching....but they treat it as if they as individuals had accomplished something?

I want to go out and party cause I am young and I like partying. I have no friends to take me. I met this guy and I wanna go see him at the bar cause he told me to come back. I feel like I am missing out on what most young people do. It's getting to the point where I am depressed about it. It makes me cry just thinking about it. I feel like my life is lame and I will never meet friends. When I went out last week I felt so free and happy.I actually had fun like I haven't in a long time. I socialized and met people and had the best time. I guess it was a bad idea because it gave me a little tast and now I'm craving more, but can't get to it. I can't go by myself it's too dangerous. What should I do about it? Is this something to be depressed over or am I just a crazy person?

I feel like my life is virtually over. I'm not far off 40 (3 years away) and I look old and tired. I'm permanently on the edge of tears and wondering if this is all really worth the effort anymore.

Can anyone offer some advice about how I can stop feeling like this?

In my entire life, all I have ever wanted was to be loved by somebody. Here I am, past my midlife, and I still have no love in my life. I have seen nothing but rejection, I've been lied to, and been taken advantage of. I just don't see any point to go on living. Can you?

Does anyone know a person that is psychic? like a telepathy "can read minds". I think I sorta could. Just so u know im NOT crazy. Cuz I tried to read a friend of mine's mind and I was like " your thinking of a island". And she said, "well, close, im thinkin of Hawaii". Another time, I was like tryin to read this person from my class 's mind and i was like tellin my friend that i think he's thinking of a bunny. And then she said, He is, he just told me something about a hare, which is almost like a bunny/rabit. and i didnt even heard him. I dated a few girls where they often say "Yes means No and No means Yes." If the meaning of No is Yes and the meaning of Yes is No, it would be an infinite loop of meaning absolutely nothing, would it not? I know I'm reading to much into it, but it's what I do.
