During the abuse, you feel the need to repress. Repression leads to depression. As you grow older, the repressed memories begin to come back No matter what tag, or definition you find, the only way to move on is to Give it all to God. The longer you carry a grudge, the more bitter you become. I rest my case.

The phenomenon of post traumatic stress is real. We hear about it in soldiers who have been in battle or may have seen horrible things in their service experience.
Being sexually abused is a major invasion of your body and your spirit. Because most folks who are abused feel shame, they push the memories of these tragic events deep down into their subconscious and some even deny that such things ever happened.
Our memories retain everything and really strong memories stick with us in a very vivid way. If you have had the opportunity to confront your abuser and tell others what happened to you, that can help diminish the bad memories. Hypnosis might help, too. It all depends upon how deeply you've been hurt.
If you are a child, go to a trusted adult and start to defuse these memories. If you are a mature person, trustworthy friends or a counselor can be helpful. By repressing the memories, you give them more power, so finding a way to rinse them out in the light of day can be very helpful. If you were forced by someone.. abused, you are not at fault.
Don't remain a victim. Let the bad stuff go and find ways to help others who may also have been abused, perhaps?
