I have a huge fear of public speaking. I have to present an award in front of 300 people and I am nervous that I won't know what to say and thay my voice will sound shaky and nervous. How do you deal with speaking in public?

Imagining the audience naked doesn't work!!!

I can't stand when men mislead "us" women by making you think they like you like that, but really don't then think it's okay to rub it in your face as if to say "you want me, but you can't have me". please both women and men can give feedback.

Ok, so I go through many mood changes. I can be extremely hyper one minute to where I can't sit still, and I'm shaking really bad and cannot quit laughing, and just act really stupid, and then pretty soon I get so down the it feels like I'm dead. I won't have any energy and then I'll just want to cry because of how I'm feeling and plus I get so frustrated because I don't know why I feel like I do. When I get in the depression mode I don't want to talk to anyone, except for maybe every now and then my best friend and my boyfriend. I get really irritable, and other times I just get down right violent. I bite people's heads off and a lot of the time, since I'm around my younger sister the most, I end up knocking her around. Sometimes these moods will change throughout the day and go back and forth, and other times I'll be in one mood majority of the time for a few days, sometimes longer, and then it will switch. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

Someone broke into my house and I beat him down. Then he kept moving. So I slammed his head into the night stand until his head was all but mush. He stopped moving; I tossed him to the side and tried to get back to sleep. Then there came a knock on the door. It kept knocking, so I picked up my gun and emptied the clip through the door, the knocking continued. I woke up.

Teasing and play is one way that people become socialized. What I'd like to do is see how that relates to people's social boundaries, personal space, trust, openness, and empathy.

If I was to ask the question, how tall is mount Everest, everyone would look it up on the internet or maybe have heard it said, that it is a bit more than 29,000 feet tall,

BUT THE TRUTH IS, YOU DONT KNOW THIS, so therefore we believe everything we read, therefore how can we be sure that any answers that are given, about factual things, are correct. THE ANSWER IS THAT YOU DONT REALLY KNOW

Well it occured to me today that the system really sucks. The teachers have a strick policy that they must follow and that interferes with the well-being of their students. I don't think i want my life dictated everyday by some ridiculous rules, if i dont feel well during a class period, it is against the "school rules" for me to put my head on the desk. I think that is ridiculous. If someone is not feeling well, its their grade and the teacher should care lesss, they are in no way disturbing the class....These rules are very stupid, in my opinion. Are they trying to raise a generation of robots? Kids who are sooo accustomed to following the rules when they are young,so when they get older they just have that instict to never break a rule. I for once, i love doing things that i want to do without any restriction, i thought in a country as USA you can have the freedom, but it seems little by little our freedom of free choice is being violated, they are putting camera's all over..etc

Well my boss' wife gave birth to their second child, and there was a card passed around for each staff member to write some congratulating message on it.

Everyone basically wrote the same thing which was "Congrats!", and I didn't want to write the same thing, so I wrote,

"Congrats. Don't drop the baby."

At that moment, I thought it was kind of a witty comment but now that I think about it was cheesy, lame and not even funny.

Sooo, I'm just wondering if you guys think it's stupid as well?

I know knowing what everyone else thinks won't change the fact that I already wrote it but nothing wrong with a little curiousity is there? ;O)

alrighty, thanks!

Okay...last night I had a lucid dream for a few seconds, where this man came to my house and took a gun out for no apparent reason, and therefore I realized it must be a dream. Then I got really nervous that I would think I was to get shot, so I would really get shot. I know it won't be real, but it is still really scary. Anyway, I thought about it and decided to go up and knock the gun out of their hand. So I did it, and it worked. However, after I did this, I quickly woke up (I really don't remember why). Do you have any advice for controlling my fears and staying lucid in the dream? This is something I really want to do, and am willing to face this fear in order to do it. Thanks!

I recently asked a a question (Can someone explain to me how this is not a human being) I included a link that showed babies that were aborted. I then explained how most of these babies end up in a trash can after they been aborted. The pictures were nasty, but it was only to prove my point that it was human. Within 10 min someone reported to me to yahoo and then my question was deleted. How don't understand why. They said that it had explisit content. I was only telling the truth, its not like its porn links or anything. I wanted to show what the true reality was of what abortion looks like, and that it is a human baby. Do you think I did anything wrong other then exposing the truth.

A question about the centers of emotion in the brain. Is the feeling of sadness caused by a lack of "feel good" chemicals in the brain, or is there actually a substance that causes people to feel bad? Is so has this "sadness" substance ever been isolated and tested in experiments? Are emotions really just a combination of neurotransmitters or brain signals???? Thanks.
