Hello Jameela,
I could get a touch psychoanalytical and probe as to why you feel you need to improve your life after a break-up, but methinks you really don't need to question things too deeply at this stage :-)
I'm impressed with the physical exercise, you clearly appreciate that endorphins make you feel better, and exercise can and generally does take your mind places different.
I have some suggestions you might like to consider.
Visit a brick a brack store and make a promise to purchase at least one new item of decoration for your house. Not furniture mind you, but classy decoration to enhance your living space.
You might like to consider making it habit to re-arrange your living space once every few weeks in order to experience your home in new light. You spend a lot of time there, how about spending some time on allowing it to accentuate your life?
It can be expensive, but what the hey: Pack a completely different lunch each day. Food is yum, variety is even yummier. Be sure to include a little naughty treat each day. Surprise yourself and innovate beyond just chocolate ;-)
Is your journal worthy of your words? I find that If I commit to paper my feelings and thoughts It helps immeasurably if I write in a leather bound journal with thick lined pages and wide margins.
A book worthy of your thoughts, feelings and wonders is surely worth a little extra expenditure?
And on that note, treat yourself to a high quality pen. You'll appreciate the difference as you write, and the ink will at the very least be enjoyable to write with. How about a Quill and an ink pot if your feeling extra glamorous?
You currently take dance classes and also perform. Who do you perform for? A company, as part of performing arts exams?
May I suggest performing for your friends and family every few weeks in a comfortable setting. You'd be surprised but those closest to you will pick up on facets of your performance that strangers would simply fail to notice.
Try dancing to different and out of your comfort zone categories of music. Really extend yourself into an area you don't feel comfortable with initially. See how you go :-)
Kindly,
- Justin

I do some writing myself every night too...
This is the list - and it has changed my life sooooo much. It takes time thou...
10 things I am grateful for (25 if I'm having a bad day)
1 nice thing I did for someone else with an expectation of return
1 lesson in life that I learned (it can be something small, dont worry)
1 charectoristic that I need to work on (like gissip, judgementalness, perfectionism, etc)
1 goal I am going to work on for the next day (making a dentist appointment, etc - it doesnt have to be big either)
the things that I am praying for (strengh, understanding, etc)
The changes that can have the greatest impact, are the small ones that have rewards we can measure, which is why having them written down to look back to is important.
Best of Luck Darlin - Peace be with you.

furthering your education is always a good start. knowledge is great, plus earning an extra degree would help you earn more money. you can start by just taking an evening class at your community college.
getting a great hair cut and some new clothes always help in the superficial aspect.
also, don't keep yourself out of the dating scene. have some light dates that are just for fun. go out with your girlfriends too! can't forget to have fun!

Listen to me....Build up a good stock of canned food and bottled water. Start taking supplements. This will help you be secure. You never know when it's going to hit the fan.

Good for you.
How about reading more books - and not rubbish - the classics.
Try new things - classical music concerts, horse riding
How about developing your spirituality? Go to church.
Hope it all works out for you.

Figure out something new (and active) that makes you happy and do it every time you feel like falling back on old habits. It worked well for me, I hope it’ll work for you.
