memory of celebrating that wonderful day you were born? Did you recieve a favorite present ?

i was 9 years old, we had just moved to a new town outside of boston. it stood out for many reasons. it was my last birthday with all my cousins in attendance. we had a big slumber party in my new house, we had a video camera and made our own movies and music videos. we got to party until like 3am and i had never stayed up that late before.
i never got gifts on my birthday because our families were huge and we didn't have enough to spoil everyone. but i never cared because i didn't even realize people got gifts on their birthdays.

It was probably the only BIG party I ever had...lots of kids from school (around age 8). We had a blast and the best part was having so many people I liked there at the same time. Couldn't remember the present if I tried!

I had many good birthdays growing up. My favorite was when my mom sent me to the basement to get an article of clothing out of the dryer and I walked by my birthday present 3 times before my I finally found it. I'm glad my mom was patient enough to let me find it on my own. I guess when you're not expecting to see something, you don't notice it.

Nope, I never had a wonderful birthday celebration my entire life. The only one that was memorable was the one I initiated a birthday party and planned everything on my own when I was twelve. Other than that one, a birthday was like any other ordinary day.

I got my cat from my grandma on my 9th birthday. I'm 20 now and still have that cat. LOL
