Hobbies are not a waste of time, no matter what age you are! I actually wish more people would involve themselves in more hobbies and activities more often. Growing up, I put my hobbies aside and just went to school and worked all the time. Now that I realize without that, you don't have much of a life, I'm starting up again. Your life should always come before your work, take care of yourself and create a balanced lifestyle, you will be much more happy with yourself. Resume wise, yes changing careers can look bad, but again, you have to find something that you are happy doing, or else there is no point in doing it! You and your well being should be your number one priority in life and I wish more people would see that and take action. Please, set a good example to others and just do whatever makes you happy no matter what people think or say about it. As for the job changing, its easiest to find a job while you still have one, that way you don't feel like the pressure is on to get one right away. Have fun, and good luck!

Nope. If you enjoy doing something, why give it up just because others don't approve of it? Taking up hobbies is actually a good stress reliever.
On your second question. No, again why worry what other people will think if you change careers?! It's your life, you live it, besides getting their approval will not make you rich. It's you and your choices who can make you rich or would improve you as a person.
Pleasing everybody is a futile exercise. If you do something their way, they will still have something to say about it. It's human nature. So better do things your own way, live your life the way you want it.

Taking up a hobby at any age is not a bad thing. It is always nice to find something of interest and learn new things, no matter how old you are. Changing career and focusing on something new is not a bad thing, and being only 20 years old, you have a great deal of life left to live. So you may change your focus a few more times. It is important to find something you are passionate about and enjoy therefore your career choice will not seem like a job but something of enjoyment. Good luck and God bless****

According to the ancient Vedic literature anything is a waste of time if it is not connected to the Absolute Truth. Bhakti Yoga is the process of linking up with our maker in this way id doesn't matter what hobbies or job you do as long as you do it as an offering to God also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc. It is a very simple yes powerful process which brings one the ultimate happiness. So go ahead and change your hobby or job if it better suits your natural abilities. Read the book Dharma By Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada or Bhagavad-Gita As it Is by Bhaktivednata these books are life changing for the greatest good and highest joy.

Nope, hobbies are therapeutic. They are good for the soul. Most people change careers several times in their lives. If you forsake your responsibilities while you are in the process of changing careers you are indeed behaving less than responsibly.

You have to do what makes you happy. it's your life, do what you want. That's my opinion. on careerss, find a career that you love to do. Who wants to go into work everyday and hate it. that's just wasting your life. You work aprox. 1/4 of your life, who wants to be unhappy 1/4 their life? Don't worry so much about money, it isn't everything in life.
