TO KNOW!!! WHY DO THEY say, "i am just being realistic"...because they are NEGATIVE AND JUST SAY.."oh, i am not, i am being realistic...."..But everyone that knows this person has told him....because he picks on people and so forth....he is abusive...Now if it were me, I'D KNOW IF I WAS BEING ABUSIVE....QUESTION; DO PEOPLE THAT ARE ABUSIVE KNOW THEY ARE????...I would think they would have to....they hurt people's feelings!!!! THE ONLY THING YOU CAN DO FOR YOURSELF IS GET AWAY FROM HIM!!! that is the best way to deal with him...is to get away!!!

It goes like this:

I woke up to a burning smell in my room. It was really hot, all of a sudden my bed had a little flame on it. Every where I went things caught on fire including my homework, the car, etc. And when I put out the flames they started up again, it would stop, but it was weird because it didn't ruin anything and nothing was charred. What does this mean?

There are so many people on here who offer advice on what to do about certain situations and problems that people face. However, what I would like to know is how many people actually abide to the advice they give and if there are times that you haven't, why not? Is the advice you offer now a result of a lesson learned or do you offer merely what would be the right thing to do but not necessarily what you have done when faced with similar circumstances? Just kind of curious...

How can someone judge wether they are intelligent or not.Should it be based on their academic acheivement or is there some other benchmark that can be used to measure against those who have not had exposure to equal schooling. Is it right for a individual to mark someone as "low intelligence" because they are not interested in what that individual is interested in.

Everyone always has one thing that is always on their mind. Everything they do is somehow related to it. This thing never leaves their minds. What is this secret thought for you?

Too many of the questions that come in on Yahoo Answers (especially Psychology) are quite serious - people with real problems, even if they don't know what the REAL problem is. When they vote for the ANSWER they think is best, don't you sometimes get the impresssion that some of them just pick the responses that they like and not the ones they need? When you seek advice, surely you must be honest about yourself and not simply hide your head in the sand?

I have to ask this as a question or they will delete this...As I tread in new waters, I have been challenged by some of you to grow out of pain, be stronger, and let go of the rocks that weigh me down...so here is the beginning of the new journey.

WTF happened!
Why did you leave and not tell why
Secrets told to you, I gave you my heart
I wanted to give it all but I was insecure
Waiting to see if you would receive it all
You left me rejected when all I wanted to do was love
Make you first…fulfill your dreams, fantasies
And support your goals
Soul Mates?
So I couldn’t be your mate
Soul Friends?
I wanted to give you a lifetime of friendship love then
No, you would have nothing of it
I made huge mistakes, and you left my side
In this abyss and void…you left it
You ripped my heart out and left it to desiccate
Nothing to explain it!

If you have heard it, do you believe that phrase to be true? And if so, why? Do you think it could be applied to anything in life? Why or why not? I have thought about the phrase a lot lately and I believe that it is true and can be applied to just about anything in life. I believe that the human mind has the ability to get past just about anything, of course, there may be struggles along the way, but ultimately the problem, the sadness, the issue...no matter what it is can be seen as an experience, or a moment of clarity. Besides I think if we did not have the ability to move past things that we in our own minds have struggled with, how would the human race still be surviving?

anyway. the reason I ask is because I am a mental health student nurse and next week I am due to observe a treatment of ECT. I was quite shocked to hear my mento tell me this because I thought it was a very bad way of treating patients as I believed it was unethical, painfull and can cause long term damage. I didn't want to refuse because I want to make a good first impression as this is my first hospital placement...I just need to know if other hospitals use this treatment and if it is ok to do so

I stood high above the city, staring at random objects that entered my field of vision. Pigeons, families, even holidaying midgets. But, I was not happy. Far from it. I was sad. Back in the city, things were hardly better. I realized my leg was bleeding, and the wound on the back of my hand was oozing this clear yellowish fluid that smelled of vanilla. I also remember it was the anniversary of my parents divorce. I sent mom a card and vomited into a postbox. Things were a bit weird at that moment. Lost in a reverie, I made my way down to the port and idly threw rocks at the passing fisherman. It has been three weeks since I gave up smoking, but it hasn't gotten any easier. It looks like it is going to rain. As I paused and sat down at a bench, a bearded man stopped and sidled up to me… “You want beer? Any kind of liquor? I can get what you want….any kind of alcohol!” I pushed him aside, and sprinted to the train station. I jumped onto the first train I saw. I had no idea where I was going. The train was strangely quiet. My leg stopped bleeding. It felt so good. I smiled. I sneaked off the train at Turnpike Lane…it was deserted. In a dark empty corridor, I stopped. I felt naked, suddenly hidden and anonymous. My anxiety eased away. I stopped dead.
