When I was bullied at school I found it really helped to write down my feelings in a diary. I would talk about my day and also my feelings about the people who hurt me. Now that I have leaved school I dont need it and even now when I look back I see how much anger and saddness went in there but now im over it and dont need a diary. Try it and I think it might help.

Musically - Listen to something that makes you feel a certain way or "hits the spot" with what you are feeling at that time (a good example for me would be Rage Against the Machine "Killing in the Name off" when I'm pissed off, or Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" when I'm missing someone). If you can play an instrument try and copy what they are playing, if you can't it might be worth learning to.

Artistically - Similar deal, find a photo or picture that gets you at that moment and attempt to draw it or paint it etc. If it looks nothing like the pic it doesn;t matter, just go with it and see what comes out.

Life wise - As stupid as it sound, sometimes getting totally f*cking drunk and letting loose with your emotions (telling people what you think of em, smashing something up, acting stupid and dancing about or going off on one, whatever) might bare reprecutions, but it helps release emotions + tension and needs to be done from time to time.

I shout at my friends. Not in a horrible way, but I tell them all the things that have pissed me off, and they agree or disagree depending on whether they think its a bad thing or not. It gets it out of my system, and makes me stop thinking its all you, only you would be annoyed about this or find it strange or unkind. Having a good moan is so therapeutic. As long as you don't dwell on things too much.

I only recommend this if your friends do the same back, otherwise they may tire of you being cross and angry around them. My friends and I thrive on it. We are grumpy old men and women in the making!

I also put on songs that have lyrics similar to my mood and sing them aloud. You have to sing out loud, otherwise it doesn't feel as real.

Writing is one of the most creative ways to express yourself. So I will say give it some more try. Start a diary. Keep a daily journal of your major events of the day. It is also refreshing and interesting when you look back at what you wrote down years ago.

darn, u said creative.
that means no smashing things up or screaming i guess. pity?

how about creative dance. u can make up different dances for whatever mood u r in. or make up some songs. they are really good for self expression.

why not take up an instrument? u could choose from anything !!! guitar is good for patience or keyboard. it depends on u.
my kid is quite aggressive but he loves the guitar and has done pretty well and even made up a song. why not?

doing yahoo! answers is a good way to write your feelings without actually concentrating too much on your feelings.

read newspapers and blog (or just write) what you think about them.

find a few friends on the internet to swop a few ideas with...

doing martial arts or swimming can also be quite cathartic

have you ever considered singing? you don't have to write your own songs, there's plenty of emotions conveyed through music. it might even inspire you to take a step further into the industry if you find that you're good, if not, perhaps you might be able to write songs to help other people express how they feel. i can think of no better way to help myself than to aid others in their search for a better understanding of themselves
