Do I have to ask such questions to climb to your level? It is disappointing!!!

I believe that to be somewhat true. Of course, it is human nature for people to want and hear what they want to hear. I also believe that in life there are many questions, but hardly any answers. At least none that I am aware of that 100 percent of any given group would agree on. I tend to hear what people's answers are, or advice is and take it for what it is worth, but surely I would be more likely to pick an answer that reflects how I already feel, but not always. There are times when someone says something that I may not have always believed, but suddenly it is brought to my attention and makes more sense than anything I would have originally thought or believed to be true.

I agree with you BUT I still give my oopinion--never really expecting "best answer". They can do with the information what ever they wish. On one such question--by the time that I did answer, there were some thumbs down--so my answer was, "why should I answer because you are going to give me a thumbs down anyway"--and gave no answer. Went back later to check the question and the thumbs down were then showing fine.

The variety of answers is due to everyone having problems of thier own with different solutions for that problem as we are all built differently so one solution might not fit everyone. We can only tell you our experiences from our real life problems that we have been through!

There is a diifference between Wants and Needs, and most of us hear only what we want to hear. When an Asker votes on a Best Answer, it is the Asker's choice!

I think it is silly to ask such questions on a website like this. People need to go see their doctors with such serious problems, not a bunch of strangers on a website like this. Who knows who could be answering!

That makes sense to me. When people ask for advice, they are usually looking for someone to reinforce the decision they've already made. Ergo, the best answer is the one you had in your head before you asked the question.

And some people, seeing that the best answer hasn't been chosen by the asker, chooses their own answer...for the 10 points!!

I undersatand what you are saying.... Maybe they choose the "best anwer" becuase they didnt find the answer they were looking for and they just want to close the question.. because they choose best answer doesnt necessairly mean they found the advise they were looking for....

I agree and also.....some minds are made up before the question is asked. It's human nature to have justification or for another person to reinforce the decision they have already made.

some people know the answer they want to here, they just need someone to say the same thing to get some reassurance that its ok to go down that road.
