It is a sign of intelligence when you talk to yourself; however it is insanity when you answer yourself.

I talk to myself constantly I'm really intelligent and quite mentally ill, so maybe its a sign of both. I think sometimes my mindgets so full of stuff that my thoughts just starts coming out of my mouth and I'm just thinking outloud. I will say this it creeps people out and having been in prison 3 times I can tell you creeping people out can sometimes be to your advantage...

It's a sign of intelligence. However, if you hear a voice or voices talking back, it's psychopathology.

It means you have too much on your mind and you're trying to sort things out by talking about it. Either that or you don't have anyone else to talk to so you talk to yourself.

Want to hear the sound of your own voice for whatever reason. I think it just helps some people think things through.

Well I find myself talking to myself. It's not like I talk back or anything. It's just that when I don't have anyone else to talk to I just talk to myself as if someone were listening.
