Well you should know that every human dreams everytime they sleep. Whether or not you remember them is what you should be asking. You can have an effect on your dreams by engaging in lucid dreaming which would allow you to manipulate the dream by being aware that you are dreaming so you can change the content.

You can't really "make" yourself have dreams but often times your last thought before sleep ends up being what you may dream of.

I know that I have repeated dreams when I am under stress. I also wonder if I could force myself to dream something that I want. It would be really cool if we could do that. But, until now I don't think it is possible, so we have to leave it up to our brain.
Great question.
