The other day I drove to the park to go for a walk with my dog. Upon entering the park there is a cemetary on the left. There was a burial going on with hundreds of cars and approx. 30 police cars. I thought that was interesting and looked as I drove by. The person must of been somewhat important.

Upon leaving the park I looked over to see if it was still going on. Everyone had left but a couple of trucks. I saw one guy pushing dirt into a mound. He took his last push and threw the shovel in the back of the truck. He got in the truck and they sped off.

All that was left was a freshly piled up mound of dirt. No more people, police officers, anyone.

Just the person that was buried.

How does this affect you?

I was dating a man for about a year and was madly head over heels in love. We went hiking, to the movies and just about everything together. We were so devoted that we dreamed of the future, weddings, kids. There were a few rough arguments that sent me crying for days over the idea of being without him.
Well, one night I went to bed dreaming of the man I loved, the next morning I woke up, looked at him and thought "Ick, who are you, what am I doing here, I don't think I even like you!" I packed my bag, left the spare key and left forever with out a word.
As for the man I loved so much I don't have a single iota of guilt or remorse for randomly leaving. I can't even really remember why I liked him. I guess this must mean I never loved him.
Anyone have the experience of loving someone so much one day and just leaving without a thought the next day? Anyone ever love someone deeply and then just leave with no guilt or warning?

If so I hope we aren't sociopaths!

lets say my wife's last name is Gonzales but the ss card shows Gonzales-Garcia. i would assume this would be her new whole last name because of the dash. she Has been using Gonzales in the past. Does this means she has to use Gonzales-Garcia from now on and for everything. Would it be a big deal if she uses just Gonzales as last name in further documents without changing the name on the SS card. or would there be a conflict because Gonzalez and Gonzales-Garcia are 2 different names.

In South America, we have 4 names: First name, middle name, father's last name and mother's last name. i know most of the time INS would put your four names on the green card. Lets say her name is Mary Ana Gonzales Garcia. In the card the name shown is Mary Ana Gonzales-Garcia.
First I thought that is not a big deal then we went to the SS office and they put the name just like the resident card.

I believe the main reason for all the crises in the world is lack of awareness or lack of education...in short--ignorance.

If we can all be aware of each and every crisis that all countries are undergoing then we can find crystal clear solutions to these problems..however, the governments lack political will. We as well lack will to be aware and educated of our own surrounding. We are either too indifferent that we tend to concern ourselves with our own interests or too pessimistic that we instantly think that there's no hope for a better world.

This is just my opinion, how do you think can we get rid of all the crises in the world?

I was walking along Burnham park(here in philippines,Baguio City) when I notice a group of teenagers playing cards(gambling)and I said to myself, "is these the future of our country".When I passby, I notice another group of teenagers seating on the bermuda grass, having a lecture on their project in school, reading books such as history, science, math, etc. Again I said to myself "oh this will be our great hope of our world/country".The only thing I was confuse is, Is still true that youth is the future of our country?

Right now I'm about to start my second semester of college away from home, and so far, it has so far been a really uncomfortable experience for me. Coming from extremely over-protective parents who have always kept me sheltered, it's been very hard to interact with other people and go out in public. I'm uncomfortable to the point that I sit in the back corner of the cafeteria everyday facing the wall and filled with lots of anxiety doing so. Of course I don't go out anywhere with friends or anyone, but just walking out of my dormroom I am very uncomfortable. Like, I know college is a bit of an adjustment for most people, but it's already been a few months and I hate living here more and more. Yes, I did have this problem in public school, but it's worse being on my own, especially with a roommate I don't get along with and no friends. Does or did anyone have a problem similar to this, and if so, is there anyone that could help? Thanks in advance. :)

what do you think of this.....many people in the work force are subject to drug testing at any time by thier employer. these people pay taxes to our government. the government then distributes money to those in the welfare system.
shouldnt these people, who are receiving the earning of the worker, also be subject to drug testing?
why or why not?

In your opinion, what ethnic group has the greatest percentage of "bad" people. I'm talking about the anti-social, stubborn, simple minded ones. I can think of some really bad places in the Balkans, but I thought I'd throw the question out here.
