I was walking along Burnham park(here in philippines,Baguio City) when I notice a group of teenagers playing cards(gambling)and I said to myself, "is these the future of our country".When I passby, I notice another group of teenagers seating on the bermuda grass, having a lecture on their project in school, reading books such as history, science, math, etc. Again I said to myself "oh this will be our great hope of our world/country".The only thing I was confuse is, Is still true that youth is the future of our country?

If the youth are not the future of our country/world then who is? One day we will be too old to run the world and our children will have to take over. Just a fact of life.

If it is, then we’d better start spending more time with our kids than at the office, don’t you think?
Yes, I do think that the current children and youth will be the future of not just the country, but the world. The morals and values that we instill upon our children will be the morals and values that will shape the world once we are gone. If we spend all our time at the office trying to earn money for the luxuries and other nonessentials then we end up teaching out kids indirectly that money and material possessions are what’s important in life. And if we don’t take the time to teach them morals, they are going to assume that doing anything (good or bad) to get those material possessions is what’s necessary. Spending time with our families and teaching them what is good and bad and what is important in life is how we can make a better future for those children and youth.

Youth have to be the future of our world. There is no choice as we will be dead or elderly.

Be careful of the way you treat and educate them. Give respect where it is due and discourage wanton behaviour.

No, you have it wrong. The future belongs to old people, VERY old people, who will be here when the future comes - unlike young people.
