What is something you have done as a kid and still continue to do? You probably could stop but still do it anyway.

Something I do is everytime I drive by a cemetary I hold my breath because as a kid I heard that you will one day longer if you did. Now I know well enough that its not true, or if it is there is no way to prove it, but I still do it anyway

Let's face it, overpopulation is a serious problem. We're running out of natural resources, people are getting a lot older than before and there's hardly any space left for more people. At one point in time, we have to... "remove" people. Now, I´m a very ethical person and I don´t promote any form of murder in any way (aside from euthanasia, if that´s spelled correctly, but that's a different discussion). But if you look at this problem at a purely rational basis. What would be the best method to prevent the human race from extinction through malnutrition?

So the question is:

How do we counter overpopulation by ALL means necessary?

If I was a working-poor white guy nearing middle-age, earning less then $30000 a year, without much education, working a dead-end unskilled blue-collar job, and I lived in a crumbling city neighbourhood of an old industrial city like Detroit, Cleveland, Buffalo, or Pittsburgh; typically, what kind of vehicle would I drive? Please feel free to tell me anything else that comes to mind about a character like this. I'm thinking of writing a character like this into a short story, and any thoughts would help. Thanks!

Well, I think the technology will be different...maybe we don't need to write with a pen or pencil..we might say the words and it can write by itself..or if we are hungry..the food will immediately come to our mouth. I mean think of the future..what do you think ?

So anyway, I was thinking of thowing out my TV(s) (or rather, pawning them. I mean, waste not want not...) . The reason being, I probably spend anywhere from 2 to 5 hours a day in front of the damn thing, when I could be doing something better. I could be socializing. I could be exercising. I could be learning an insturment, or maybe a foriegn language. And the thing is, I'm not even one of those "highly motivated people" that needs to be going forward all the time. I believe in stopping and smelling the roses, but I realized, TV is the most passive thing in the world. You actually turn your brain off when you watch it. It's been proven in scientific studies that people eat more when they're watching TV. Your brain can't even perform simple functions like telling you you're full.

So what I want to know is, does anyone have any experience or advice in this area? I can only see benefits, but I'm still reluctant, even scared to let go of the aptly named "idiot box".

Do negative, argumentative, belligerent U.K. soaps set an example for our impressionable youngsters to follow? For example: If someone disagrees with you, just revert to physical force instead of reason?
