Here's my favorite answer ...
Desiderata
Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons,
they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain and bitter;
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs;
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself.
Especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love;
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment
it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.

They have it!
.
____________
Three people were charged $30.00 for a $25.00 room (each paid $10.00)
The clerk with a guilty conscious sent the bellhop up to the room to return the $5.00
The bellhop not knowing how to split $5.00 among the three decided to give them just $3.00 and keep $2.00 for himself.
So now each of the patrons just paid $9.00.
And 3 x $9.00 = $27.00 and the $2.00 in the bellhops pocket equals $29.00
So where is the other dollar?
ANSWER: They have it!
3 x $9.00 = $27.00 (this is what they spent) - plus the $3.00 in their pocket) = $30.00. The other exlaination was counting the $2.00 in the bellhop's pocket - twice.

Life is;
1. You will have bad days.
2. You will have good days.
3. You will have normal days that you will NOT remember.
4. The normal days will be a LOT.
5. The good days will be a lot less, but they will be a lot.
6. The bad days will be few, but you will remember them the most, and you will think they are more than the good days and the normal days. That is not true.
7. Our lives are determined by (a) or (b)
(a) you write down EXACTLY what you want to do with your life. Short term goals, mid term goals, long term goals, right up to when yo would like to die. You add, subtract things from you goals as you go thru life, learn more, realize more, but always keep working on your list of goals and working toward those goals.
(b) you write down NOTHING and everyone ELSE decides your life for you. This is what most people do. They live for today, because they have no idea what tomorrow will bring.
8. Once we turn around 18-21, we are all grown up. Afterwards you spend a life of very slowly growing weaker, and weaker.
It is called sarcopenia.
There is no cure.
The only way to SLOW down this affliction, is by weightlifting. Lift and you will get old like everyone else, but your body will be STRONGER than everyone else.
And THAT will make life worth living. Even when you are 90...
How's that?
