I wasnt sure what category to put this in. I want to be taken more seriously and am wondering if there is a way to speak in a deeper and more commanding way.

generally a good voice or singing teacher will teach you to develop your natural tones.

One of the big keys to developing a charismatic/influential voice, is actually developing dual tones. It is almost like a deeper tone, mixed with a mid range tone. or even a high tone, as along as the deep is in there.

Another tip is to visualize you voice coming from your throat/nose/head. that is probably your current speaking voice. Now take a deep breathe, center yourself, now imagine your voice coming out of your chest just below your neck, do it again. Now visualize it at the middle of your body, the bottom of your ribs, the bottom of you sternum, "your solar plexus".
Now imagine your voice coming from deeper in your belly, eventually from your waist.

Notice how it takes more discipline in your lungs and diaphragm. You will want to imagine you voice coming from your belly when ever you speak. make your your back is straight and your chest extended. When you breath your stomach should rise and fall not your chest, if when you breathe your chest rises and falls you need to sit up straighter. At minimum begin developing those groups of muscles, and your voice intonation will improve.

Generally speaking, any good drama coach, singing teacher, or speech therapist can train you to speak in a lower register and/or in a more authoritative manner. Another less-expensive route would be to take a public speaking class or workshop. In this instance, you would want to check with the instructor, before registering, to make sure that your particular needs would be addressed in class.

You can either look for a speech therapist or a vocal clinic. The latter will be found in organisations that offer public speaking advice. Also visit this page:

Yes speech therapists will teach you how to speak by using different octaves in your voice.

Speak from your gut. It will elongate the sound box and make you sound deeper.
