we have been dating for months, both in our 40's - are great friends & have now slept together, but he seems to have trouble with erections - first time was touch & go, second time no go - says it's him not me - says it's harder for him in the beginning when he has deep feelings for someone - should i believe him or am i just not doing it for him?

I need to present my arguement from a legal/case law stand point, but can find very little modern information that directly addresses this issue especially in light of civil rights legislation. Help? Just put me on the right tract.

Do you think that todays society in the western world is going to pot and decline because the loss of family values? Crime rate etc. etc...
Do you think, going back 50 years or so when most married women stayed at home with their families there seemed to be a more peaceful society.
I come from a family where both mother and father went to work, but I don't agree it's best for the family.
Critize me, if you will but that's my personal opinion.
I see the lives and times of my grandparents so much happier.

I never felt he wants my friendship.
But he showed his interest in hanging out with me or coming over.
Well, I told him it is early cause we are not close friends.
After 2 weeks he called and asked me if I want to be his girlfriend.
Is it a true feeling?!!!
How I should deal with him he wants to see me this week

Women please answer honestly: What are some huge problems women seem to have that you think they need help with? What are some problems that women should tell about to help other women or young girls? What are some problems women should share in the sacred environment of other women?
These answers can be mentally, physically, etc. Name any and all problems. Feel free to speak honestly.

I think that is where a lot of confusion comes in. I heard a little 8 year old girl give a speech once where she said proudly, "we are all equal" My heart sunk at the retorich coming out of such a little thing.

If I can't sing as good as you, are we equal? If you are not as smart as me, are we equal?

Being NOT equal, isn't that why we need EQUAL RIGHTS? So that those who are not equal are not oppressed by others? But isn't saying we are equal just a big lie?

Or do we have to teach them that every lifestyle is "good" and "healthy"? Why can't we teach them to THINK and reason and come to their own conclusions. If they think girls are cute and boys are stinky, so be it. Or if they think that girls are better at baseball than boys, so what? And if they come to a conclusion that the genders are different, let them think so. What is the value in programming their minds to think one way is always right.....that being the feminist way?

The terms "feminist" and "women's movement" are viewed with skepticism of varying degrees by most men.....and, yes, women. When most people think of a feminist, they don't think of a person (male or female) that believes that women deserve equal rights, equal opportunities, and equal respect/credit for equal contributions. Most people think of feminists as men who are perpetual apologists for the behavior of bad men & women who want to levy power (in court, at work, and especially at home) in their favor with little real accountability. I know this isn't what feminism is supposed to stand for, but it's what is more often thought of when the term comes up. How can this be remedied?

What's wrong with just being honest? It's always the best policy.

Why not just say want equality in certain circumstances only?

Why not just say plainly, we want equal treatment in some circumstances but better treatment in other circumstances?

Why not admit you want men to treat you better than a man - to stand while you sit, open your doors, stand the cold so you can be warm, pay for your dates (at least the first few), and defer to you in many "chivalrous" ways.

The problems arise when (some women) say they want to be treated "equally", but refuse to admit that they equal treatment only when it is advantageous.

There is nothing wrong with wanting it all.

Why not just admit it?

feminism is the one that got you laws against rape. Feminism is the one that gave you the right to vote. Feminism is the thing that allowed you to get maternal leave for jobs. feminism allowed you to be pregnant on a job because back in the day you could get fired fot getting pregnant on the job. feminism is the one that protected you from sexual harassment and guaranteed EQUAL pay. Feminism was that person who told you you could play with the boys. Feminism is the one who expressed the voices of women to be heard so WHY ARE SOME WOMEN AGAINST FEMINISM?

I am NOT talking about RADICAL FEMINISM. Leaning too far to the left or right is bad.

This initial iniquity sets the tone and impacts the perception of women a lot. This is especially true with thinking men who are after something other than sex. Here's my main point: Demanding that the guy asks you out, then pays for dates (first 3 or more) has quite negative effects on her ability to demand she be respected as an equal. There are numerous other examples where women demand to be taken care of......but still expect to be treated as an equal, but this is certainly an example of this that comes up early and is extremely common. Of course there are exceptions, but I'm interested in whether women are aware of the effect of this expectation. Oh....and please don't start with the cost of attire and makeup.
