What would stop a women from being confident in herself?
I am doing a report on confident women and i need help i have writers block so how can a women gain confidence?

If a woman is abused either physically or psychologically (verbal abuse, insults), this can wear away at her self- image and self-esteem big time. It can take years to get over some rude, insensitive jerk's comments or actions.
The way to build self-confidence is for a woman to surround herself with positive people, such as positive role-model women in their lives, by doing what it is that makes her feel proud and happy, by reminding herself of all the good she possesses and what a terrific person she is regardless of what anyone else thinks.

Please take five minutes to write a list of 10 or more positive things about you. The first thing you need to do is: love and admire yourself. Look directly to a mirror and repeat the positive attributes you have, if possible every day. Everybody is pretty. Focus in your positive attributes- your feelings. Gain confidence in yourself, check your wardrobe, walk in a secure manner, change the places you visit and talk to different persons. Practice sports or activities that link you with people. Hope that you focus to the positive in you, find a women to enjoy life.

How can she gain confidence? I have known of women who were treated like garbage in high school and went to college and got self esteem and learned how to take care of themselves and got good jobs and had tons of self esteem.
You can't get self esteen by letting some abusive man take care of you. You work twice as hard and get no respect.
Take a pill and stop making excuses ,"I got pregnant." Who's fault is that? They thought when they discovered the pill there would be no more unwanted babies and over population and people would take responsibility for themselves and life would be good. But some women are so disfunctional they can't take a pill and then complain they got pregnant. We do need to tell women what is causing it. Don't blame the man! he doesn't get pregnant.

Things that would stop a woman from being confident:
-Abuse of any kind, lack of education, lack of achievements, unsupportive / unloving people, low self esteem, lack of self motivation.
Things that would help her gain confidence:
-overcoming challenges/obstacles, believing in herself, doing things she enjoys, having people love and support her

Set small goals that are obtainable and then obtain them. It doesn't matter if it deals with work or relationships or life skills. Setting and achieving goals are important for anyone's self worth.

She needs to develop herself, by getting an education, by experiencing life both phyically and spiritually.

She needs to believe in herself. Believe in her values of Life. Her trust in what she sees as the right thing to do. And the wrong thing to NOT do. And be persistent in keeping to those choices.

By setting goals and achieving them. Small or big goals, does not matter.

... if they have sex appeal and intelligence, they should leverage it to the hilt. That's how many successful woman achieve confidence and position.
