For instance you would say something in the aspect of why a basketball player isn't doing well.

You would notes their flaws and what needs to be improved and people get mad because you're not a pro, do you have to be a pro to voice your opinion?

They get so passionate talking about the grandness of the male species that I wonder if they follow through with their beliefs in their personal lives and exclusively seek homosexual relationships. If men are so much better at everything, why waste your time with a woman?

Or society is, anyway.

I remember a few months back, someone posted up a link to some 60s ads which showed women being the stereotypical housewife, obedient to their husbands and family, and the general outrage many Yahoo users expressed.

Now, I've found a link to some similar 60s ads, but the message is ... slightly different.

http://images.google.com.au/imgres?imgurl=http://www.stickergiant.com/Merchant2/imgs/125/y8139_125.gif&imgrefurl=http://www.stickergiant.com/page/sg/PROD/magfunmen/y7812&h=100&w=125&sz=5&hl=en&start=2&um=1&tbnid=QNeEtXecEdOjLM:&tbnh=72&tbnw=90&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dmen%2Bare%2Blike%2Btoilets%26svnum%3D10%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DG

And let me just say - I'm not a feminist. But I couldn't help noticing the parodies these ads make of the originals.

Your thoughts?

It's kinda odd but I just realized that I cannot react well when I don't get my way because of someone else's doing. This is something that hasn't crossed my mind in the past because usually I tend to be quite tolerant and often allow others to have what they want. Sometimes I might even give in to demands without making too much of a fuss about it which is mainly because I experience difficulty saying no to people (not always though because everyone has their limits). Usually I have trouble dealing with people who are overly demanding. Now I'm realizing that I really might not be as accepting to losing as I thought I have been. Allowing victory to others doesn't always affect the way I view myself therefore it's not damaging to me but instead it's done to boost the ego of that person and as a way to satisfy him/her. However I don't think I can sacrifice something that makes me happy in order for someone else to get his/her way unless of course I would gain satisfaction from it.
There's one thing that would truly agitate me and that's when people make promises saying that they'll do something if you are willing to make a sacrifice but than end up deceiving you and not keeping their word. When there's a turn of events and I don't get what I want I become extremely annoyed. It's an irritating feeling and it feels like you're slowly burning inside and desperately needing to vent out your frustration. My response is to sulk, mope, and childishly demand having my way. Well I demand it but not in a direct manner and not exactly by making everything clear. I guess I kinda expect people to read my mind but than again I give many clues. It's just very difficult for me to be blunt with what I'm trying to say but at the same time I want to get my point across so I do it by torturing the daylights out of the person who upset me. This can be considered childishly annoying but I cant really control it (I don't always regret it either because people often do a good job at provoking you). Calming down is not easy if that person is not willing to talk things out with you. Surprisingly I cool down quickly if someone bothered to show some patience. I mean I cant help it that I feel hurt.

Is it really wrong to handle things in such a way?

My brothers didn't listen to me and did something that hurt me a lot. My little sister surprisingly supported them. I asked them if what they did was worth losing a brother. They didn't answer. I said that I didn't know who they were anymore and said just the sight of their faces disgusts me.

I can't find it in my heart to forgive them. They have the lowest regard for my father it seems, and that I can't seem to forgive.

Thoughts?

Even though I recently found the most wonderful person ever, I'm so damn depressed. Why can't I just be normal and happy? Why am I pent on self-sabotage? I don't want to lose someone it took a miracle to find.

I know some people who are attracted only to the most gorgeous, and others who are attracted to anyone who's at least average. Some that are simply not attracted to anything less than a 10, and some who are ok with 6 and up. What is the science and psychology behind this? I'm curious. Thanks!

Whenever my Father talks to me about stuff, I can't look him in the eye. I wasn't raised that way or anything -- I have always been taught that I am just as good as anyone, etc.

But unless I am talking to my Dad about something really trivial, like what's for dinner, I have a hard time keeping eye contact.

I find that I generally struggle make and maintain eye contact with everyone except my Mom and boyfriend.

This may seem somewhat burdensome, but I need a little help understanding something. Visit this website:

http://www.theobjectivestandard.com/issues/2007-winter/moral-vs-universal-health-care.asp

Find the lengthly paragraph that begins with:

"Given the existing tax burden on Americans and their justified efforts..." and ends with "This is precisely what has happened with health insurance."

I am a little bit unsure as to the point that the authors of the article are making in this paragraph. More specifically, I don't understand how they went from the demand for home repairs increasing to the home insurers having to limit their coverage in order to stay in business. If people are buying more and more insurance to cover routine home repairs since it's beneficial under the tax structure, what happened that the home insurers are now having to take measures to stay in business?

I had a dream that me and my brother were both infront of God for judgement. I was chosen to go to Heaven and he went to Hell. And when we was walking towards our opposite paths my brother asked, "So your just going to turn your back on me like that." So later in the dream I some how became an angel (I know one thing right now I'm farrr form an angel) and Heaven was being raided by demons. And one of the leading demons was my brother. So we had a vicious battle and we both were mortally wounded. I dont like this dream at all. I dont understand what the meaning of it is.

I am 23 and had attended uni for 4 years pursueing a degree and failing. I am a bright young man who did well at school and know that I have a lot of potential. However I can't help but feel inferior to others my age who have well paying jobs, flats, degree's etc. I am shunning my friends efforts to contact me because I dread having to tell them of how little I have done since I left school. I have read endless self help books but I still feel empty. I don't know what to do with my life and struggle to make decisions or feel strongly about anything. How can I explode from the starting blocks and start making something of my life?
