On Christmas Eve we go to his sister's for a traditional Italian Christmas Eve celebration, followed by Midnight Mass. This year I'm at home because I've got a bad cold, so he'll be home later. The day after Christmas we have a low-key party with traditional Polish food, which keeps me happy. Part of it is catered, part is in the freezer, and part will be cooked this year by Mr. Yaga under my supervision. And I do a New Year's Day brunch for his and my business associates.

Everything revolves around food.

We used to have a few specials when all the children were small.
Now we enjoy the Scrooge story, The Grinch who stole Christmas,"especially when he took the little piece of cheese from the mouse.
Now days I like to listen to some of the Christmas carols.
Christmas day we will visit all our children and see what Santa has left for them.
It will always be a special time for me although I don't believe all of this anymore but the setting seems so peaceful

Among the normal traditions, we count Christmas trees we see on the tops of cars between Thanksgiving and Christmas. This year we only got to 85. Our highest count, though, was 104.
