Yeah, it's been one of the biggest chances in a long while, think I'll still be coming to terms with it all well into next year.

I left Uni without my degree after learning I had all the qualifications I needed. This is a big step as I've been studying through college and Uni for about 7 years now.

I've had several other ups and downs that have made me stronger, and more able to face anything that life throws at me in 2008.

I've also made some good friends on here, earned a orange badge, and had it taken away on Christmas Day. Posting on here has been a good fun experience, and I hope it will continue to be well into the future.

For me, it was life changing in ways I didn't want it to be changed, but circumstances changed everything in no time at all. I was planning on being married this year, but instead the guy decided to 1. lie and cheat 2. break up with me and 3. kick me out of the home he and I had that I loved. Then I moved in with a friend--during the hottest part of the year--in a mobile home with no a/c for 3 months while I started the grieving process of not being with the man I have loved for 2 years. I also had my cat that I had cared for since birth disappear. The best thing that happened was that I found an awesome job as a live-in nanny/caregiver with a wonderful family in a huge house. Another good thing is that I was finally able to become friends with my ex-husband (something we have never done in the 22 years we have known each other). Another good thing is I have a new nephew.

It has definitely been a life-changing year for me, in good and bad ways. Things can only get better next year!

I can't help feeling that in some ways, it was not as life changing as it could have been....but the year was quite different from anything that I might have expected....if that makes any sense. I had hoped to be in a different job by now....but I guess I never really had a chance to look at my alternatives this year....partly because of the health problem I had in the spring.

Having said that....I agree with everything in your additional details....Y!A has changed my life and brought a new crowd of people into my life....many of whom I feel comfortable sharing things with....and some of them really seem to care a lot! Let's hope for a better year next year!

it was not a great year for me, lots of downs with a couple ups, things that i expected to go well didnt turn out the way i wanted. january was bad cuz my house caught on fire, then in feb. i hurt my ankle the night before i was gonna start a really good paying job, i failed a couple of college classes, every girl i met...didnt got so well, i had money in my account but after i hurt my ankle i never got back on track with my finances and Wamu shut me down cuz of some things i did to get easy money and when i finally started to get my money back on track my brother screwed me over and i went flat broke for a while,my summer vacation i planned for myself FLOPPED big time lol. my car got broken into in March also.. my credit also went bad after i got hurt cuz i was out of work for a month and i fell behind in the little bills i had. so yea this year was a huge dissappointment. but i got sick for a whole week i feburary and lost a several pounds which let to losing about 15-20 pounds or more that i was trying to lose. i have been single this whole year, as well as 2006. lol. so yea that tells u how 2007 went, but 2008 is going to be good, next month im moving back to CA for school and gonna stay in a dorm for a semester then in the summer one of my best friend and i are planning on getting an apartment and im really gonna focus on paying off my debts and save money. and i am getting a little bored of the single life so i think by me moving off to college will open up the opportunity to meet more women plus ill be 20 on 4/4/08. only a few more days left of this year of flops. 2008 prediction=my best year

It hasn't been life changing but I have probably learnt more this year than in any other year of my life. I tend to walk about with my head in the clouds so this has been a great lesson learnt this yr (to rwad between the lines that is)!
I'm hoping that 2008 will finally be my year =)

I wouldnt say life changing,i would say hardest year i ever gone through, not just me,but my daughter 14yrs who has a brain tumor, and has had 14 ops on her brain and survived them!
Also on top of that in oct i found out my father who i always looked up to and adored had been abusing my daughter since she was 9 yrs old,he always spent xmas with me and my children, this yr he is on bail, and not allowed to be within 5 mile radias of us,till he is sentenced in crown court in feb!.
So 2007 been a nightmare, but what ever ,we are all at home now, soon to sit around the table and enjoy a grand christmas feast,so life challenging i would say!

I guess, some -this year I accepted the concept of aging that was staring me in the face & decided it was ok. I'm not ancient- just no longer can I deny the reality. Once I did that I've found that I actually like myself more.
